must-have teaching apps

it seems like there’s an app for just about everything these days. therefore, you probably aren’t too surprised to find that there are a lot of apps you can use to enhance your teaching, simplify your job, and manage your stress. check out these must-have teaching apps, organized by category, that you can download today.

communication

• do you want to remind your students about an upcoming assessment or homework due the next day? you can use the remind app to quickly text students and their parents with reminders along with attachments or voice clips. pick and choose which students and parents to text, so you can send out daily behavioral reports and other notices as needed.
• teacher aide pro also stores the contact information of all of your students and their parents or guardians, so you can pull up their contact information when you need it.
• if you want students to be able to reach you outside of school hours without giving out your personal cell phone number, use google voice connects. it provides a call forwarding service, so your students can call you with any questions or concerns.
