if a school uses sat score choice, the best way to send your scores to them is by using the sat score choice function in yur online sat account on the college board website. (you can see video instructions for this here.)

if you apply to a school that uses sat score choice and you simply send them copies of both exams, they’ll probably take yoru highest scores across all exams, selecting your top scores manually by carefully looking at both of the score reports you sent. but there’s at least a chance that if you didn’t use the automated online sat score choice service, the schools might accidentally count one of your lower scores.

if you’ve sent two score reports to a school that does not use score choice, that school will probably automatically select whichever sat score has the highest whole-test sat superscore. but again, there’s a chance the school could get confused and mistakenly look at your lower score.

if you’re worried about schools incorrectly ignoring your higher scores, contact the schools. explain the situation to someone int he university admissions office, and ask them if they can make sure your top scores were selected, in accordance with school policy. admissions offices are used to getting requests like this form time to tome. and they’ll be willing to help. they want to have the right information about you, so that they can make the best possible admissions decision.
