sector

a sector is a fraction of the area of a circle. it is a “slice of the pie.” to find the area of a sector, you can set up a proportion of sector area/entire area to central angle/360.

example: what is the length of arc st if the radius of the circle is 3? remember area is π r2 , so the area of the circle is 9/8π.
