{"id":3655,"date":"2015-05-21t11:45:02","date_gmt":"2015-05-21t11:45:02","guid":{"rendered":"\/\/www.catharsisit.com\/sat\/?p=3655"},"modified":"2015-07-30t18:45:21","modified_gmt":"2015-07-30t18:45:21","slug":"how-to-plan-your-finals-studying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/\/www.catharsisit.com\/hs\/gen\/how-to-plan-your-finals-studying\/","title":{"rendered":"how to plan your finals studying"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>i hate to say it, but finals are coming up soon for most of us. it\u2019s time to start thinking about how you\u2019ll plan out your studying.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-3657 aligncenter\" src=\"\/\/www.catharsisit.com\/sat\/files\/2015\/04\/tumblr_mrurkocmva1so29l3o1_500.gif\" alt=\"tumblr_mrurkocmva1so29l3o1_500\" width=\"465\" height=\"365\" \/><\/p>\n<p>but never fear! i\u2019m here to help you organize yourself, so that your studying is as stress-free as it can possibly be. here\u2019s my step-by-step guide.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1. make sure you start studying at least three weeks before finals week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2. list your classes from hardest to easiest<\/p>\n<p><em>example:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>chemistry<\/li>\n<li>math<\/li>\n<li>history<\/li>\n<li>english<\/li>\n<li>spanish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3. for each class, think of all the things that you could possibly do to study.<\/p>\n<p><em>example:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\nchemistry<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>make flashcards<\/li>\n<li>make review sheet for each chapter of the textbook<\/li>\n<li>go over tests<\/li>\n<li>etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>4. write how long it will take to complete each of these tasks. break up the total amount of time into one or two hour periods. estimate slightly more time than you think you will need.<\/p>\n<p><em>example:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n        chemistry<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>make flashcards (3 2-hour periods)<\/li>\n<li>make review sheet for each chapter of the textbook (5 1-hour periods)<\/li>\n<li>go over tests (2 2-hour periods)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>5. print out a few calendars like this\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3656 size-large aligncenter\" src=\"\/\/www.catharsisit.com\/sat\/files\/2015\/04\/htpyfs_img1-600x464.png\" alt=\"htpyfs_img1\" width=\"600\" height=\"464\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2026and schedule each of the periods into available space. if you have anything happening after school that day, try not to schedule in a study period. leave a few extra days in case something comes up, you can\u2019t follow the schedule, and you need to postpone some studying.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>6. strictly follow the schedule! if you do, you can feel confident that all of your finals studying will get done, with time to spare.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>i hate to say it, but finals are coming up soon for most of us. it\u2019s time to start thinking about how you\u2019ll plan out your studying. but never fear! i\u2019m here to help you organize yourself, so that your studying is as stress-free as it can possibly be. here\u2019s my step-by-step guide. &nbsp; 1.
