without knowing your students’ situation, that’s hard to say. if they are planning to study in the usa (or study somewhere local-ish) such as the american university of cairo or the american university of beirut, then obviously they’ll have some understanding of the importance of the sat. for other students who aren’t sure where they want to study, you may want to emphasize the value of the american system, in terms of what a u.s> accredited degree can do for their futures, and help them understand that passing the sat will open a lot of potential doors to them, even if they’re not sure what they want to do yet.
