marina. the first advice i'd give you is to have your daughter practice with more "real" sat practice tests. by this, i mean the sat practice exams designed by the college board. these tests are the most reliable measure of sat ability. the official practice tests from the college board also do the best job of preparing students for the real exam on test day; this is because all the questions come from real, previously administered sat exams. the khan academy exam itself is a real practice test, as khan has a partnership with the college board and uses a practice test created by cb. you can also also find additional official practice tests and question sets on the college board sat website. and of course, the current edition of the sat official guide has 4 full practice tests. be cautioned, though, that these are the same practice tests you'll find for free on the college board sat website. i would also recommend that your daughter subscribe to magoosh sat, if she hasn't already. if i do say so, we put a lot of work into our video lessons and practice questions, and have managed to create sat practice that's very close to the real thing.]]>

my daughter her first sat on nov5th and she secured 1180…she read barons and also practised online free practise test from khan academy pls could u guide how to increase the score

hi ayesha,

unfortunately, the tests in the big book, year after year, will be the exact same. indeed, the 10 tests have remained unchanged since the book debuted in 2008 or so.

for $75 dollars or so, college board does have about 10 extra tests as part of its online course. these tests, maybe for the exception of one or two, are different
from those found in the college board or from the tests above. if you’ve already burned through these tests, i recommend the online courses.

thanks so much for the tests..?
i wanted to ask, are the practice tests of two different official sat guide books, and of diffrent isbn codes, diffrent from eachother?
for example, if i buy a 2014 official study guide book with dvd, would it contain different practice tests from those that are in the official sat study guide(without dvd version)?

that looks like a typo. the answers in the answer key for the d
test correspond to test d.

thank you so much, but i’m a little confused, when i downloaded the sat test, it said 2013-14 test but the answers, said 2012-13 scoring also sat test d was from 2014-15, but the scoring said 2013-14.
could you tell me if it is just wrong labeling or something else?
