you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

it helped me focus on actually studying and not which topic/how to study.

math lesson videos and problem explanations were tremendous. your attacking the foundations of concepts rather than just providing formulas helped a lot.

i found magoosh the best resource for gre preparation. i was preparing from other sources before joining magoosh but after joining magoosh i got the right direction. practice test gave me actual performance metric and gave me confidence that i could do better. i really love magoosh vocab flashcards and vocab builder, my vocab is much better now and in actual exam i knew almost every word.

the lessons on synonyms were great

magoosh vocabulary is literally the best resource for gre words. one stop destination for learning all the gre words. almost all the words that came up on my test were from magoosh's word bank, i owe my 5 point increase in verbal to you guys!

the math lessons were especially helpful. i appreciated it being stated which videos were for more advanced quant sections as well, because i was not aiming for a very high score. i also appreciated the verbal vocab cards app.

i would’ve been lost in what to study and the different traps i could’ve fallen into—magoosh was enormously helpful, both with practice tests and lesson videos.

the practice tests helped with the pacing and helped me figure out the weak parts of my knowledge which were supplemented by the lessons.

many of the math videos were more clear in explaining techniques than my teachers from middle and high school

covered every topic i needed and more! practice problems and tests were just like the real thing

i managed to improve in the quantitative. i believe i can improve even further, but definitely magoosh helped me. lessons were very clear and explanations of solutions very detailed.

it taught me math, which i would have done much, much worse on without the tutorials, and it taught me patterns to look out for on the verbal.

the timed practice questions simulating the actual test were incredibly helpful for getting myself used to doing timed math sections. and the explanatory videos on each problem were so helpful

it was all around a fabulous resource. clearly outlined all topics in an approachable manner, had helpful study tools, and made me feel confident and prepared.

the quant videos broke down the topics into really understandable chunks. they also had great shortcuts that helped increase my understanding of underlying mathematical concepts. i really used magoosh for quant prep. the practice problem explanations we're invaluable. i did find the math problems on magoosh harder than the actual gre but that may have helped me do better than the magoosh estimates.
