i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

i was really struggling with math and your program helped. i only had 30 days between tests, so i was limited. more time with your program would have helped more. i really liked a couple of the math guys. larry mcgarry and chris t. were awesome. i did not use your site for verbal at all except for a practice test and the app for vocabulary. i just didn't feel i needed it.

it taught me the tricks to speed up my math problems and also how to narrow down options on the verbal section!

i took princeton review, kaplan and magoosh. out of every other tutoring company i went through, magoosh was by far the most in-depth and useful. the videos were far superior than any other organization and the questions were more difficult than the actual exam, but the explanations were really good. this helps because you are prepared for the harder questions while the easier ones seem much easier. definitely could have done better but i went from getting 150s on each section on practice tests to over 160 in both sections, largely due to magoosh.

magoosh gave me a schedule of things to do every day, which made everything much more manageable. the videos were all easy to understand and were a good mix of general instruction and hands on problem solving!

math was very helpful and helped me improve a lot, but it did not prepare me for the most difficult gre problems i saw on the actual test. i did not find magoosh’s verbal section to be similar to the actual gre verbal. magoosh vocab was too difficult and the reading comprehension was not similar
