i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh helped me prepare for the gre by 1) organizing my studying, 2) providing a comprehensive amount of instructional videos, 3) providing a large pool of gre-like questions ranging in difficulty (with video reviews of each question), and 4) quickly responding with a kind and comprehensive answer to any of my questions.

was a great practice resource.

math - question were relatively easier on the test but practicing very hard problems on magoosh gave me confidence.

verbal - apparently my magoosh's verbal score estimator was closer than powerprep :) ( magoosh was higher)

magoosh made studying clear and easy. whenever i had questions, customer service was there with a quick and friendly response. you still have to put in the work, but magoosh provides excellent tools to help you achieve the score you desire. i would enthusiastically recommend magoosh to anyone.

magoosh was a great find when i was clueless on how to prepare for gre. the math lessons are really good and very lucid. and words like "lucid" can be picked from the magoosh vocabulary book which ensures that the words stick. the mneumonics like relating justin bieber and melufluous was so funny that i won't forget the word forever. practice questions are of high standards and each one of them have a video explanation that sets magoosh apart. to be precise if want to prepare for gre, magoosh must be your tutor.

magoosh helped me build confidence in my verbal skills through the many practice questions and videos on the website. what i liked most about the videos is that they broke down each question and answer. i was able to use the same methods to break down each question on the actual exam. my verbal score went up 180 pts (according to the old scale), which i owe to magoosh and studying 10 gre words a day for about 2 months. i also think the predicted target scores helped me have realistic expectations for my score on the actual exam. and lastly, i really appreciate all of the magoosh administrators for quickly answering all of my questions to the best of their ability, they really provided a great support system.

magoosh gave me some much needed structure for my studying that i wouldn't otherwise have been able to create for myself. especially with verbal, approaching that more systematically rather than just going by instinct made a huge difference. also, all the video lessons for math are stellar, and it's great to have a video explanation of every single practice problem.

the lessons that are offered by magoosh team helped me to understand various structures of question asked in gre exam. if you want to boost your scores then magoosh will help you in every aspect. the video lessons of magoosh are clear and easy to use. you can pause and watch them whenever you want. furthermore, the practice questions are of different levels. you can estimate your score based upon score that you get from doing magoosh practice questions. also, the support team is amazing. i still remember when i was confused to join magoosh. now, i feel so much relaxed.

magoosh was great!! i felt very prepared going into the exam and was very happy with my scores! during the exam, i felt that the exam was a bit harder than expected, but then i ended up on the high end of the score range magoosh had predicted for me. magoosh gave me a great foundation. the difficulty of the practice problems gave me the confidence to attempt questions on the actual exam i probably wouldn't have bothered with before. the product is very easy to use, and i loved that i could watch the videos on my android on my morning commute! thank you!!

magoosh is only product that could help, as you guys have abreast yourself with latest pattern specially with verbal part.my previous score was 294 if it isn't for magoosh i don't think i could easily improve my score with 21 points and with maths the theory part really can make the difference with score as i haven't left any book for gre but i find magoosh best of the best.

magoosh has a very powerful practice system, allowing for an effective review focusing on my weakness, such as slower than average questions, incorrect questions and marked questions, especially helpful under tight schedule.

as other "magooshers" said, the overall difficulty of the quantitative problem set is higher than ets's; this is definitely a plus compared to other materials.

some tips, experiences, strategies shared by chris on the magoosh gre blog are also very beneficial in terms of verbal preparation.

magoosh is the best gre preparatory product i have found. i also took an online preparatory class with an expensive price tag. compared to magoosh it was like using an old green screen apple with floppy disks. magoosh is fun, has an up-to-date interface, a blog, a facebook forum, smart phone apps and more. the other expensive program was boring, the interface was outdated, and there were no smart phone apps. magoosh was a big factor in my much improved gre score. thank you magoosh!

magoosh gre was definitely the best resource i used. the videos were a great way to brush up on on the old laws and theorems i hadn't heard since high school, and the practice problems helped me get used to finding non-standard solutions and thinking creatively. i can't recommend it highly enough.

www.catharsisit.com is so easy to use. i like the design of the website - makes the gre material you're studying seem less boring. and the online tutors answer you within the same day, which really helps you stay on track. i found the math problems to be much more difficult than the ones in kaplan, and that definitely helped me improve my score. if i had not discovered www.catharsisit.com, i know i would have scored lower.

first, i'll note that i signed up for the full service, but ended up putting almost all of my attention toward the math, which clearly needed to improve. i did buy some additional materials (like the ets guide) but ended up relying almost entirely on magoosh. the most important thing, i think, was that magoosh helped me get over my apparently paralyzing fear of math on a computer screen. the practice questions were way harder than what i actually faced on the test, and the score predictions for the math portion were accurate for the two ets practice tests i took and the actual exam (i ended up doing way better than expected on the verbal.) perhaps the most exciting feature about magoosh was being able to email a question and have someone respond within a day with a clear explanation. not that i needed to send help emails all that often--the explanations given on the website were generally very thorough and clear. i hadn't taken a math class since high school, so seeing even the more basic or "obvious" steps, and having them verbally explained to me, was really important!

good practice questions. helped me practice in a timed manner. the questions on magoosh are very good representatives for actual gre questions, something which is difficult to get with other test prep materials.

i loved the fact i could work problems that were close to the actual test. i also like the practice test portion of magoosh. i recieved the same score on the real exam as the magoosh practice exam.

magoosh was very helpful for my gre preparation. this product will give you immense confidence. and still i planned to retake it to improve my gre score further. i would suggest this as first choice for everyone who takes gre. it predicted exactly in the range i would score. thanks magoosh :)

magoosh taught me how to better approach the verbal reasoning questions and offered plenty of opportunities to learn new vocabulary. the math practice on magoosh was actually more difficult than what i saw on the actual test, and i got that impression even though math is one of my strengths. so definitely learned much from that even though i was not expecting to!
overall, the questions in the prep package are much better than barron's, mcgraw hill's and kaplan's because i went through their books prior to starting the magoosh practice.
