i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh is an excellent product because of the high quality gre questions it provides students with. the difficulty level and tone of the questions match exactly with the real gre and practicing along with the running clock helps you get the exam feel. also the quick email support is a boon when you feel anxious on any aspect related to the exam. another great thing about magoosh is its affordability, compared to traditional coaching institutes in india which are charging around 400$+ for a subpar gre coaching program. i would highly recommend magoosh to all gre aspirants.

your product was very helpful, the most unique and helpful feature in your product practice mode of the quizzes where i can see the correct answer and average time i should have spent on that particular question.

do to my class schedule i was very limited with my prep time for the gre. i spent a week doing all the problems in your bank and watched the videos on strategies for the essay segment the night before the test. this product was excellent and perfectly simulated the test setting.

magoosh is simply great. it helped me to achieve this score within minimum time. my friends use a package of chunky textbooks and questions for gre, while i have magoosh take care of everything. my experience here certainly exceeded my expectation when i was introduced by my friend to this site.

the format was almost identical; it helped knowing the layout of the test to alleviate some of the anxiety toward other unknown factors.

to be frank i wasn't sure at first about subscribing but in the end i believe it was a good decision.

1. there were tons of videos on every possible topic in both the verbal and quant sections. i also loved the fact that there was a video explanation accompanying all the questions.

2. which brings me to the questions themselves. the questions were at the perfect level of difficulty and really comprehensive. for example statistics was a weak point for me. once i had done the 50 odd questions on statistics there was no other possible question variety left for me to do.

3. the option of flagging certain questions and then reviewing the questions i want to review was extremely helpful.

i must admit, i was skeptical at best when i came across magoosh on the internet,coz i believe in the old school fashion of classroom based lessons. it was a leap of faith and it paid off !!

the online product is amazing. the structure and flow is so nice, studying becomes fun. all the materials are very resourceful and strategies are just mind blowing. thanks to magoosh i was able to solve every sentence equivalence question on the test in less than 20 seconds which gave me ample time to put to use on other toguh questions including rcs, which are,trust me, exacting !! verbal was where i was found "wanting" and magoosh helped me allay every inch of apprehension i had about gre verbal !!

i was initially complacent that my math skills are good enough to crack the test. after browsing through all the problems, i realized that was a fancy notion. there are ways to solve a prob and there are ways to solve it the quickest way. magoosh equips you with the latter,with all the necessary concepts,just brilliant.

you guys are definitely the best !! i owe this success to magoosh staff especially chris,margerette,mike for clearing all my doubts with celerity :)

magoosh helped me immensely. i studied for over a month using barron's and still didn't really have a grasp on the quant section. i decided to try magoosh after my miserable 153 quantitative score and managed to raise it to a 160 in two months. the questions and videos allowed me to know the topic well enough to tackle diverse questions. for many questions, it felt like magoosh was harder than the gre which was a great thing!

it allowed me to be prepared for the types of questions on the test. i was mainly concerned with the math section, since the degree i want to pursue is more math oriented. i was able to refresh myself on the simple techniques that i had forgotten.

the text completion was awesome. when i took the gre for the first time, i could not really make a connection between the tough 2 blank or the 3 blank text completion's. i remember it took me close to 10 mins to complete the first 6 questions. in my retake i hardly spent more than 6 mins on all of it and i could easily comprehend the sentence structure.
the study plan is very effective. it makes you go through wide ranging materials like gmat, nova's, big book etc which is great.
vocab wednesday's rock. by the time my exams were due, i was in a position to understand all the words for the week before looking at its definition. thanks again to the study plan which tells you to make flash cards everyday and also to read your challenging material. if anybody would follow the study plan to the dot as it is enlisted in the site, i am sure any student can get a better score because you are being prepared in a very organized manner.
the video explanations are a big plus. chris does an amazing job in the verbal section (the math is equally good). it really gives you an opportunity to understand the thought process of chris and that kinda helps you to mimic a similar thought process when you are taking the actual test. i definitely did that (try comying chris :)) and it helped :).
i honestly felt i could have scored close to 160 in verbal but i'll take what i've got this time.
i would also want to thank mike for suggesting me the study plan and rachel who was very very kind in responding to all my queries without any delay. when i was clarifying my doubts, i felt more like i was talking to a friend than someone who really isn't bothered to explain things in detail (which happens with other not so student friendly tutor). magoosh rocks and i would definitely recommend your product to anybody in this world.

magoosh has been a great support for me all through my preparation, whenever i hear chris's voice in a video lesson or explanation, i feel more confident. he is a magical man, such an awesome tutor, the way he speaks in students perpective is simply awesome. my very very sincere thanks to him for bringing more confidence in me. whenever i hear the word gre, the first which comes to mind is chris's vioce 'okay, let begin with:' (please pass this message to him). actually, i was little disappointed when i got 305 in the first attempt, because i expected more. i was little tentative whether to retake or not. the last time when i wrote the exam, i have only finished half of the practice questions, and i haven't watched many verbal video lesson. after the exam, lena brooks from magoosh pointed out very well when i shared my last exam experience. that really changed everything, in this one month preparation time(for second attempt), i have primarily concentrated only on magoosh materials. i watched a lot of lessens. i know that if i watched a lot of lessons, then i will be pretty much comfortable to tackle a lot of tough questions, and that's what happened. i'm pretty much satisfied with my mark and all thanks to magoosh esp. chris. i would definitely suggest magoosh to my friends. thanks, sam

magoosh was instrumental in helping me to prepare for the verbal section of the gre and provided me with early warning that i was moving too slow through the math sections.

before i signed up for magoosh, i had relied on the free materials published by ets and a number of books published from kaplan. these indicated that i would do fine on the math section but that the recent changes to the verbal section were going to negatively affect my score.

i originally purchased help on the verbal section only and, as you can see, i managed to get a perfect score. i did not anticipate any trouble with the math section, but magoosh's stopwatch feature began to highlight the fact that i was moving through this section too slowly. unfortunately, with only two days to go till i took the test, i was not able to fully compensate for this (total preparation time was 2 weeks and i didn't sign up for magoosh till the second one). nevertheless, that forewarning did help me avoid a worse performance (i managed a 158). i intend to take the test again in 3 months and i look forward to using your product as i prepare.

the types of questions i practiced on were very helpful and challenging at times. the video lessons were so helpful and full of shortcuts that can really save you time in answering quantitative questions. the difficulty levels really test one's knowledge and ability to solve a variety of math questions. i'm so glad i used magoosh and not something else. everyone in magoosh is so helpful, polite, and cheerful. i always get a response to a specific question within 24 hours, which i truly appreciate because time is of the essence when studying (thanks especially to margarette and lena for this!). i can't thank you guys enough...i couldn't have achieved this score if not for your help and guidance! thanks chris, for clear explanations on the verbal lessons! i definitely refer your website to anyone who is going to take the gre. thank you everyone!

i got a fresh math review that was much needed and i learned how to tackled the verbal questions efficiently.

i absolutely loved magoosh as a study tool for the math portion. i tried doing an expensive prep course before i took the exam the first time and i did not feel prepared or confident at all afterwards. however, this product provided the structure i needed to track my learning and actually see my weaknesses, and provided so many practice problems that actually appeared on the real gre. going into the exam, i felt like i was really prepared and believed i was capable of doing well (which i never thought could happen)!

the video and explanations are extremely helpful. the program also provides many shortcuts to solving complicated long problems.

magoosh helped me immensely. i never believed in the typical online teacher but i wouldn't have done it any other way. other programs to prep for gre are ridiculously expensive and the affordable ones sometimes don't to the job. i had that experience, but with magoosh it was affordable, helped you review the skills you'll need, have you tips, and quizzes that helps. i unfortunately still need to take the gre again to get a 300, but i don't feel i would've have gotten the score i did without magoosh.

magoosh did an excellent job of producing test-like questions for practice. the level of difficulty seemed appropriate to the test questions that i faced on the actual gre. i watched all of the videos and felt generally well-equipped to tackle a majority of the questions. also, the magoosh team did a great job of responding to my emails in a timely manner. thanks!
