you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh is the best prep source ever! the math concepts and problem solving approaches it provides are more than enough to make one feel confident during the test. not to mention that each problem is accompanied by an explanatory video and you can ask as many question as you need. verbal part was so good as to enable me to score on the verbal part of the test higher than on the math part, which seemed almost unbelievable at the beginning of my preparation. so, thank you very much for this exceptional product!

i could remember all the topics in math that i didn't review in a long time. also, for the verbal section, i could get a lot of experience with magoosh questions that prepared me for the gre.

it was exactly like the real thing. it seemed even a bit more difficult, which made the actual test a breeze.

it had plethora of practice questions... those were enough to appear for the test... almost same level of hardness was there on the test day... quant was a bit tough though on the original test. but your product is awsome.. thank you guys :) :) :)

i was terrible at verbal and didn't know where to start with. i needed more guided practice which this product gave me.
not only the video lessons provided useful tips but also the huge pool of practice questions and video explanations really helped me in getting over my verbal phobia.
although i was good at quants, i needed revision of concepts and practice questions which i got with magoosh and not once i regretted subscribing to magoosh premium package. best part of this subscription was that i could time my practice. it listed my speed alongwith the average speed of others for every question which was really helpful while writing the actual exam with time constraints.
my final scores were in the range as predicted by magoosh.

the best thing about magoosh is the video explanations for all questions. it really helps in quants. tricks to solve the quants questions really helped to increase my score. i was getting 80 to 85% questions correct initially while taking practice quiz mode. but as days passed by my score increased up to 95 to 100 %.
in verbal, the method of elimination is your best tool and have been explained by lessons really good. i didn't expected my verbal score to be 151. i was hoping for 144-146 but during examination, even though i was not familiar with many words still was able to make the correct choices most of the times.

it was so helpful! the video lessons go over every topic imaginableand the fact that there is a quiz after each section really solidified what you learned. there were extremely helpful strategies for both the verbal and quantitative sections. i improved so much because of magoosh! i've already told my friends that if they are thinking if taking the gre, they need to sign up for this program.

magoosh is a very nice product and was an essential part of my preparation. all the questions types were covered, problems were of various types and explanation was simply superb. it gave a very good idea about how to approach a problem. i would highly recommend this product for all the gre aspirants.

when i first start studying i didn't know the rules and definitions that had to be applied to answer most of the questions, the lessons in magoosh where very good for this.

the magoosh gre prep was *amazing*. i used the iphone app so i could study anywhere. the practice questions were super helpful - not just because they were test questions, but because they were on the computer and timed. i have been out of school for over 20 years; so i needed that practice of answering the question on a computer.

how magoosh has helped me is not quantifiable - questions from magoosh is so so close to the actual gre. each and every question is formulated with a purpose and its so varied with very less redundancy. video lessons are so great and overall the product is a steal considering it cost just a minimal $99.

i only gave myself a month to prepare for the gre, and magoosh allowed me to create a study schedule that was reasonable. the math videos worked really well for me--i was able to re-learn math after an eight-year hiatus. i also only used magoosh; after researching other options, i decided that magoosh was the most cost-effective, and fit the best with my learning style. i really appreciated the video explanations for all the practice questions. i think that this way of approaching math really made the difference in my score (which would have been truly terrible without magoosh!). even though i was already confident in my verbal skills, magoosh helped me to address that part of the exam more systematically, and i learned some new vocab along the way.

magoosh was one boost to my overall view on gre!! i am from a science background so when ever i used to think about quant i used to freak out!! so i saw maggosh reviews and was impressed with the many positive responses on the net so i thought of giving a shot at it..! it was very useful esp in improving my verbal skills and also the lessons were very much helpful to overcome any kind of doubts i had. so overall experience was really nice and the best part is having a huge ocean of practice questions fro verbal & quant. the only thing is you should practice them all and work your wy up to know all the basic concepts and what i learnt was its very important to "know the words", this would solve all the major difficulties facing in verbal section! i wish i still worked out more than what i did!! well all the best to future gre takers and do not neglect practicing...!!

i loved the video explanations on every question. i think the difficult questions really helped me out. i loved the lessons which helped me brush up on a variety of math concepts. i also liked that i had the ability to track my progress using the dashboard. overall i would definitely recommend this product to anyone hoping to improve their score.

it helped me have a focused practice of questions that are encountered on the actual gre. i want to extend a big thanks to the magoosh team for it wouldn't have been possible without their product for me to get this score. . i have improved immensely in the quantitative section. this has become possible only because of the extensive practice that i did on the questions made available by you.

i am a working professional and had very little time to prepare.scoring 320 with just 30 days of preparation was possible only because of magoosh.i didn't even do word lists,the only words i remembered was the ones in magoosh scs and tcs.the videos on awa are of great help ,typically the one on argument topic which explains all logical fallacies.

magoosh definitely helped me relearn math, after avoiding it for 8+ years! i felt that both verbal + math practice problems were much harder here than on the actual test, so i felt a little more confident going into the test than i would have otherwise. after watching the magoosh videos and trying the problems, i basically threw away my kaplan book because of the immense quality gap. the vocabulary lists on your blog and e-book were also extremely accurate, considering i repeatedly saw those words on the actual test. i especially liked that chris made the verbal videos come to life, as if he were really talking with me one-on-one. thank so much! i couldn't have done it without you!

since i had very little time to prepare for the gre, i was looking for a prep course that could help me brush up my math basics, and more importantly at any time which i found convenient. the videos were great and gave me exactly what i needed for the actual test and nothing more.

the verbal question set and videos were great and helped me immensely. overall, a great product!

having actual questions to practice from was wonderful practice! what other gre prep products fall short of is providing an experience similar to the gre and questions similar to those on the gre, which i think provides the most preparation for the exam.

magoosh was great for the math. i started with kaplan math workbook... and i had to be brash but it was terrible. i used magoosh and their questions were spot on. the difficulty on the test seemed easy in comparison. i did not use magoosh for verbal so i cannot attest to that -- but if it is anything like the math then it is great. a++ to the magoosh team for helping me get the score i wanted.

my sole purpose for purchasing this product was to improve my verbal score. realisticly, i was hoping for a 5 or 6 point increase. the video lessons were very insturnmental; chris walks you through a variety of questions you will encounter on the actual gre explaining effective strategy for each one. also, there are over 1000 questions for both math and verbal that are very similiar to the ones you will see on the gre. i also felt that the tutors i emailed constantly were terrific in their prompt responces and thorough answers to my questions. when i got my verbal score of 150 (44th percentile) before i purchased magoosh, i knew it wasn't enough to get into my dream school. i thought i exhausted all my efforts and milked all my potential in trying to get my desired score. i thought my case was hopeless. after my time with magoosh, i took the exam and scored a 162 in verbal hitting the 90th percentile!!! i never thought i would improve that much in such a short amount of time. only a matter of two months came between the two times i took the test. regardless, i was thrilled about my score. not only do i feel my new score will get me into my dream school, but i now feel i can get into schools that my dream school envies. i highly highly encourage anyone who wants to get a great score on the gre to purchase magoosh.

i concentrated on verbal because the schools i'm applying to take the highest score for each section across all administrations of the gre taken. the number of verbal practice problems magoosh had was outstanding. i did enough to get a great verbal score and still didn't finish 150 problems. the hard vocab in the practice problems really benefited me because on the actual test there was maybe one word i didn't know.

the video lessons and explanations were excellent. especially for the lessons, i felt they cut to the chase and really just told me what i needed to know for the test.

the customer service was prompt and always answered my questions.
