you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh helped me carry out structured practice sessions while keeping track on improvement in my weakest areas. i was fairly nervous about my english score, being a non-american test taker. but, magoosh helped me identify where i was going wrong. i wish i had used its math videos more but i was short on time. overall, it's a great product.

magoosh is the best gre prep tool out there, especially for the verbal and quant sections. i have gone through stacks of gre prep books, but nothing compares to magoosh. i was not bored while preparing for the gre. the video explanations kept me engaged. my pace of studying was not monotonous because i could choose to switch between watching lessons or practicing a bunch of questions. you don't have that option in a classroom setting or with a plain book. during the exam, i was able to recall the tips and tricks learned on magoosh. the dashboard layout of the site was clear/useful, and the video lessons were comprehensive and not overly long. the estimations given on how i would perform on the exam were right on the money. the big plus: i was able to improve my score! last two things i would add is that the blog is a great resource as well, and the magoosh team is extremely supportive. i used other resources to help with the essays sections, but the videos on magoosh really helped as well.

magoosh really helped by solving my doubts both in math and verbal.the replies were very fast and clear.if there is anyone out there thinking of joining magoosh.please do it. magoosh team will always watch your back as they did for me.thank you

amazing tutorial videos. best among any of the online courses for gre. it has a lot of problems, that will boost your problem solving skills in quant section. the problems are also very well explained. the verbal practice is also very commendable. all in all, an awesome product to checkout.

i am someone with the amazing gpa but the one who can never perform well on standardized tests. i am someone who believes that standardized tests measure absolutely nothing, well besides "natural intelligence." if this sounds like you then i would highly recommend magoosh, and i'll give you a number of reasons why. with magoosh i regained confidence (this is coming from someone who had totally given up on the gre after taking it the first time). magoosh is a great product to study with for the gre. it really changed the way i thought, and it changed it to the way ets (the makers of the gre) want you to think. in fact, i wish i found it the first time i took the gre! the videos are very clear on the math portion and the strategies are helpful in allowing you to succeed on the test. furthermore, for the most part, the test questions are very similar to the real thing. having a video explanation for every question is an immense amount of help too. i also appreciated the fast and helpful service of the tutors who got back to you via e-mail when you had a question. magoosh also gives you predictions of what scores you will receive on the actual gre and they are very accurate. magoosh is by far the best and most affordable product to use for studying for the gre, and after using other resources before, i would only recommend magoosh. don't give up, just magoosh your way to a higher score! thank you!

this was the single best investment i made over the past couple of years. you guys give so much more than you ask. there are so many other products out there that rip you off, but nothing comes as close to the real thing as magoosh does. i say this literally because i had so many 'tweaked' magoosh questions on my gre... :) :) :)

not only did magoosh gave me a reason to study (since i spent the money!), it also helped me stay organized and got me used to the format of the test. in particular, i needed to adapt to the the timed aspect. i never would have had the discipline to improve my speed without the timed tests.

the question pool is really good, and video answers for all questions is a really awesome and distinguishing feature.
the lessons have quite brief and comprehensive content.

magoosh was of immense help to me, especially with the strategies required to tackle the verbal section. the math material was also exhaustive and i needed nothing more.

magoosh drastically changed how i approached verbal questions.

the customizing feature was the most helpful aspect of your product: i designed a course of study that suited my inability to focus for more that 45 minutes at a pop, and allowed me to use my time wisely and work solely on topics that i needed to study. i was also able to study whenever or wherever i could, which was tremendously helpful with my erratic work schedule. this was my first time taking the gre, but i did take one of the ets gre practice tests and scored a 159 on the math and 160 on the verbal: that's an 11 point bump after only about 10 days of studying. i am extremely grateful to you magoosh folks.

this is the best prep material i have used for my gre preparation. i opted for magoosh in the last 15 days of my studies, and i regret not doing it earlier! the other books i used were not that challenging but when you have 531 math questions that are more difficult than the actual exam, it makes you well prepared for the toughest parts of the exam.

the vebal strategy is very useful, espically to me, a non-native speaker.

the math video lessons and practice problems were terrific. they helped greatly in laying a strong foundation by covering every possible type of question that could appear on the gre.

this product assisted in training me how to react to specific problems and really developed an intuition on how to respond. if i would have had more than two weeks to use it i'm sure i could have raised my math score even higher. the advice given in the tutorials was priceless. the same goes for the verbal. i didn't learn a single bit of vocabulary (aside from the words i picked up from practice tests and videos). i simply applied the methods that chris gives in the videos...all the do's and don'ts and i reached above my minimum score i needed of 145 for the verbal!! thank you so much magoosh team!!

this product is absolutely essential to performing well on the gre. i only used the website for 4 days prior to my exam and my score was substantially higher. i have used a plethora of other study materials and none of them produced any results. i am so happy and grateful that i used magoosh!

the questions are very good!

i had taken my first powerprep mock test with no preparation for gre on christmas eve and scored 169q, 152v. (low 60% on the verbal) this score was eerily similar to my gmat score which i had taken two years ago. i wanted to improve my verbal score and my sos was answered by magoosh.
the sample tour of the product was visually simulating and i promptly signed up at 99$ with a goal of improving my verbal to high 150's or low 160. i had 328 as a target in my mind and worked for 5 months on again, off again never giving more than 2 hours a day at a stretch and yet scored a 329 :)

i felt the usp of this product is the score predictor along with very high quality of problems (significantly tougher than the actual gre) and the generosity of magoosh team to have a very popular and free blog answering every possible query of the student community. in my opinion, having magoosh as a practice source apart from the og and mgre practice tests are sufficient to get ones desired score.

i'm forever thankful to chris, mike and his team for the great product put forward and valuable support rendered during my course of journey and i'll be missing the ubiquitous starting of every video "ok in this video........". - one very satisfied magoosh customer.

with a crazy work schedule and less than a month to prepare i was lost until i came across this product.with comprehensive video lessons and a pool of questions streamlined to meet and address my weak points i upped my score from 305 to a 320 in 2 weeks..also i loved the whole personal feedback procedure .this made me feel like they took a personal interest in helping me better my scores.for me magoosh was nothing short of a miracle and i recommend it highly

magoosh helped me dramatically improve my scores on the quantitative reasoning section of the gre. my score probably increased by 15-20 points on that section. the instructional videos were very helpful. i found that the practice questions were especially helpful because they were harder than the questions on the gre!

the questions on the gre were commensurate with those in the magoosh question bank. i started my preparation for gre only on the 10th of may and my gre was 11 days away and if it hadn't been for magoosh, i would have certainly scored not more than 300.

the video explanations were helpful in elucidating difficult concepts.

apart from the ets official guide, and some extra practice tests, this product was all that i had used. the difficulty level was a little above that of the gre, which resulted in better preparedness. the tutorials were relevant and easy to grasp. my score improved more than 20 points over the first practice test. thank you!
