i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

well, it really helped me gain self confidence and the video explanation and text explanation makes the understanding of even a hard question quite simple .i was able to improve my quant score because of magoosh .also i didn't feel the pressure of being in work and still studying for gre because of the study plans provided my magoosh.overall awesome experience !!!

the video lessons were amazing for getting into the right mind of things. the videos explaining questions were invaluable when i couldn't figure out the answers. the flashcards were of great help.
i think one of the best parts was the introduction to the gre, where it is stated that the gre isn't about how much you know as it is about how well you can write the gre.

i went through every lesson and video on the site starting from scratch. it's been over 10 years since my last undergrad class almost all of the math concepts were re learned.

i loved the magoosh flashcards. they helped me learn so much more vocabulary to help my verbal score. the practice quizzes and tests were very similar to what i saw on the actual test, so i felt well prepared and i didn't feel surprised by any of the questions. i was focusing mainly on improving my verbal score, and the videos for this section were so helpful in giving me tips and strategies to do well. magoosh provided the guides i needed to improve my score.

the practice questions are extremely high quality, which helped me a lot on the actual gre. submitted questions are quickly answered by the staff and those answers are very helpful.

magoosh helped my move quick and learn strategies for when i encountered a difficult question. when i took the gre for the first time, it felt like second nature.

it helped me a lot, for quant the practice questions were somewhat tougher than the actual gre so helped me maintain my pace during my second quant section which was very lengthy.

for verbal, i didn't read many words. just some basic vocabulary and applied the tricks in the magoosh video lectures, which helped a lot.

magoosh provided enlightening tips and good exercises, which helped me to improve my gre scores. i loved its videos, those i believe that allied with book readings are the best way to learn. additionally, since i live in brazil, where there is not much gre courses, magoosh give the chance to have an great online course with affordable price, even for brazilians.

for someone who has not used geometry or algebra in a school or professional context since the 1990's, i liked how each math section gradually stepped up from the most basic information to more difficult concepts. i found that other prep guides assumed that i had much more foundational knowledge than i actually did. some people do need someone to go as low as "what is an integer?" (sadly) and magoosh does that. although my math score was still not high, i think that was more of a reflection of having only about a week to study for the test.

i don't think anything except magoosh would have helped me. its very economical, and gives a virtual classroom experience. very frank support.

it was pretty good,the level of questions is pretty good.i think that if you solve all the questions given in the practice session,its sufficient for you to score 340 :)

without magoosh, there is no way i would have scored a 155 on the quantitative section of the gre. when i first started looking at practice questions (two months before my test date) i could answer only a couple of word problems. i had to go through each lesson individually and i am so glad i did. using first magoosh and then practice materials from ets, i was able to bring my score to an acceptable level. i am very happy with a 61st percentile score in quant to complement a 95th percentile verbal reasoning score. additionally, i scored a 5 on the analytical writing section and am very grateful for the timing tips that chris provided for the essay writing. i surely would have taken too much time on my intro if i hadn't heard his advice. over all, i'm pleased both with my scores and with my magoosh experience. thanks!

after joining magoosh, all that was left for me to do was 'study', since, magoosh had arranged for me the best possible resources and guidance at one place! awesome product and a superb support team.

the magoosh practice is extremely helpful. the questions involved are undeniably more difficult than the actual exams,therefore you can be comparatively confident and relaxed for the real test.
i signed up for magoosh only 12days before my test, and i used it for 10 days. during this period, i forsake tons of other gre material. you simply don't need them when you compare them to magoosh. and this $99 is the best bargain i have ever got

i owe everything, and i mean everything, i have achieved on the gre to magoosh! having previously bombed the gmat with a 400-ish score, the revised gre gave me an opportunity to apply to b-schools and other programs i was aiming for. magoosh happened by chance but as luck would have it, it changed my life forever (from a standardised test novice to someone who can achieve something). just to give you a little background, maths has been my achilles heel since childhood and i have been very bad at standardised exams. magoosh really helped me to understand the concepts (through both videos & blog posts) from a very rudimentary point of view. at the same time, the topics covered exactly what is asked on the gre! the videos are spot on and they really helped me understand the nitty-gritties of math & verbal. as i said, i am very bad at math but magoosh gave me a solid foundation and confidence that i can do it. i can say that the maths practice was definitely tougher than the real thing but english was easier. thanks for everything! :)

magoosh was really very helpful--it helped in identifying my weak areas in math and verbal. the audio explanations for the questions were awesome. though i did not attend any classroom study, magoosh made me feel comfortable with its quick response for queries. i always felt like i had someone behind me to help with my preparation.

magoosh helped me alot. although i have gone through many gre resources but magoosh was the best in terms of preparing for getting the best score in gre. other resources were teaching math but not for a gre exam, where you should master how to solve in the shortest time possible under pressure. with the extensive practice at magoosh, it was so easy to figure out most of the problems from the first look and doing half of the problems without even doing any calculations. that what makes magoosh the best.

i basically started from zero in math. your video tutorials were invaluable in helping me understand numerous concepts. i also bought 3 gre books (barrons, kaplan, princeton) and of all the materials i had at my disposal, magoosh was the only thing that reflected the difficulty level of the actual gre. thank you, magoosh!

magoosh was by far my best experience with test prep. the problems were challenging, the lessons were easy to comprehend, and i was blown away by the results considering the affordability of the product. the combination of the blog, ebooks, iphone apps and online formats made it easy for me to study at home and on the run. i watched every math lesson, sometimes multiple times. on test day, i was actually excited to see a units digit question! i am not a math person... (i know, i shouldn't say that)... and i improved my math score from about 40th percentile to 65th. i used comparable test prep before magoosh (namely princeton review) and i absolutely agree with the claim that using these books gives you a math score cap of 155. i just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone at magoosh for following through with your promise of affordable, useful, non-traditional test prep. you've truly brought test prep into the 21st century. thanks!
