i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh gre is the best resource i have ever come across. doing the actual gre questions, i was better prepared for gre verbal sections this time, and i am glad to see an improvement in my verbal score.

i chose magoosh for my 30 day gre prep and i can strongly assert that i did the right thing. i was primarily worried about the verbal section and magoosh was immensely helpful with lots of innovative strategies. i should thank the entire magoosh team--bhavin for valuing my suggestions, chris lele for the amazing video lessons and rachel, kevin, and lucas for their help and support. i found the magoosh flashcard android app very effective for building my vocab. although i couldn't watch most of the math video lessons (due to time constraint), the quant practice questions were very tricky and often much tougher than what you get in the actual gre. i found that of all the verbal questions i practiced, magoosh gave me the closest experience (only after ets og/powerprep) to the actual gre test.

i particularly liked the logical flow of the video lessons, where chris lele builds simple and effective strategies in a bottom-up manner, resulting in an overall sense of clear understanding of the verbal questions especially the context based ones.

the kind of approach magoosh takes for the gre prep made me prepare for a much tougher test than the actual gre, thereby making the process simpler and easier. i'm happy and content with the score considering my 30 day prep .

being a british-educated music performance major, the gre was a daunting prospect for me. magoosh's tutorials were the only prep materials i used; they took me from no standardized testing experience, no maths classes in seven years and having only just heard that the gre existed to hitting the scores i wanted on my first attempt in under two months. the team responded quickly and personally when i had queries.

magoosh was simply excellent. i cannot thank the creators and staff enough, nor let any on my friends study for the gre without using magoosh. here are a few highlights: the study schedules created by mike provided needed structure and lowered my anxiety about whether or not i was doing everything i could to prepare; the video lessons were concise and the video explanations helped me learn from my mistakes; the fact that magoosh informs customers about other high quality study material (manhattan prep, for instance) indicates that they really are in the business to help students meet their full potential, not just to sell the product; the product quality to price point ratio is unmatched - magoosh is worth every penny; the staff was responsive to emails and very friendly; the computer interface had everything needed to make the many hours spent on the website amiable with no superfluous or extraneous buttons, links, info, etc.; the performance metrics turned studying into a game to improve my estimated score; finally, the estimated score was true to my actual score. i sat for the old format gre five years ago and bombed it. it is thanks to magoosh that i was able to succeed this time.

i owe everything to magoosh including my first born child. very reasonable price, excellent customer support, and great flexibility in letting you decide how to study.

magoosh helped me review and practice for the quantitative portion of the exam, which i knew would be the toughest section for me. i took a magoosh practice exam at the start of my studies, and three weeks later on the actual gre i scored 9 points higher.

i feel most of exercise questions for both verbal and math are a little harder than real exam and it is excellent to find the questions in the exam easier.

this is perhaps the best gre prep material that one could come across. i am a working engineer and my work hours are long , sometimes i have to work for more than 10 hours and at crunch time for the project even on sundays ! in this condition signing up for magoosh was the best thing that could have happened for me. the flexibility of studying that it affords is simply put awesome. coupled with that the excellent video lessons , the video explanations and the prompt help on any question make magoosh the ultimate gre prep. the score predictor of magoosh is uncanny in that it reflected more or less accurately my actual score in the gre. also for someone for whom english is not the mother tongue , the study techniques and strategies laid down by magoosh ensured that my verbal score is at par with the average required by the programs of my choice. i heartily thank the entire magoosh team for the help they have provided to me and hope my gre score will help secure the program i am targeting. thanks magoosh !

your product familiarized me with the format of the exam and the type of questions i would see come test day. i only had two weeks to study for the exam and magoosh helped me jumpstart my studying and focus on the areas i needed to spend more time on by clearly laying out the certain types of questions i kept missing. from that, i was able to customize and hone my practice to those question types. it was also helpful that each question had a video that explained how to get the correct answer. also, the information in blog is invaluable - if you come up with a question, chances are someone has already asked it and you can search for it.

i think the best thing that the product did for me was to give me a schedule. this gave me confidence to focus on studying instead of worrying about if i was wasting my time focusing on the wrong areas.

magoosh is definitely one of the best gre prep tools out there . the carefully designed questions, the timed sessions that allow you to customize your practice,study plans and the word lists allowed me to prep in a more focused and structured way.the tutorial videos also helped me understand how to approach certain types of questions.all in all, magoosh is an excellent product and a bargain compared to the other gre tutorials offered online. keep up the good work! :)

magoosh was absolutely fundamental in helping me achieve the score i wanted. without using any other material, and with only 3 weeks to study for the gre, magoosh provided me with the tools i needed to remember old concepts, while also helping me with its elucidating videos and explanations whenever i got stuck with new queries. worth every penny and truly recommended.

magoosh was the only training i took for the gre. i think it was a very friendly program, unlike any other programs i know of. the premium plan trained me with everything (q, v and writing). also, thanks to chris's vocab wednesdays and the magoosh blog!

the quality of questions in the practice pack was very good and exactly in line with what i got on the actual test (a little harder, but trained me well). especially, the "very hard" questions helped me a lot. the statistics on the dashboard are accurate too. i scored exactly what my pie charts were showing. other than the brilliant content, the prompt replies they gave to all my queries is worth appreciating too.

i used magoosh for practicing questions. the level of questions was really good--it was harder than the actual test. this level helped me glide through the actual test. plus, the support system was really good. the mentors are always willing to help. thanks magoosh!

magoosh is brilliant! i took a one-month prep course, solving all the questions and taking two mock tests. i must say that magoosh questions are indeed realistic, often times even more difficult than the real gre - but that is actually perfect, because then on the test day everything seems super easy (during the test, i was asking myself all the time: "but where's the catch here?...." simply because the questions were too easy and i had anticipated something a lot worse). not a native speaker, i scored 162 on verbal with only one month of preparation (focusing more on math, where i scored 158). in a nutshell: great, wonderful and extremely useful product (the only one anyone should ever use). keep up the good work!

i would be completely lost without magoosh. i had less than a month to study, but i was able to keep myself on track by following the 1-month study plan. the videos were incredibly helpful, especially with re-learning math - they made each concept so easy to understand, plus the step-by-step video breakdown of each practice question was amazing. the videos also made studying feel less like a chore than trying to review tips and concepts from a book. i also loved having the magoosh app on my iphone. there were several times where i was able to watch videos while walking my dog, sitting in waiting rooms at the doctor's office, etc. in addition, magoosh helped me to feel well-prepared for every question type i encountered on both sections. as a result, i felt much more confident and calm during the test. i wasn't even able to utilize all that magoosh had to offer (i only had time to do roughly 1/2 the practice questions, and i also never took a full magoosh practice test), but i know that if i did, i most likely would have gotten an even better score. however, 320 was my goal and i got exactly that, so i am more than happy! thank you magoosh!

magoosh was of serious help for me. the biggest influence of magoosh on me was that it helped me build a lot of confidence. it also made me realize how foolishly i overlooked the math section and helped me hone my math skills for the gre. verbal was a nightmare before i started out and magoosh really helped me. i never thought i could pull off such a score by starting just 15 days before the test. i owe a lot to magoosh :). i'm recommending magoosh to all my friends :)

i literally owe everything to magoosh premium. i went from mid-150s to practically perfect scores in both sections.

being a working professional, i found it difficult to take out time for gre preparation. magoosh provided me with an impeccable platform where i could organize my own study plan according to my requirements. this enabled me to specifically work on my weaker areas (rcs) and at the same time it helped me to further hone my stronger areas (quant) for gre. i have always been confident about my math skills and the tons of practice questions available on magoosh further bolstered my confidence level. the video explanations provided by magoosh for rc and text completion were very helpful in clearing many misconceptions which i earlier had. most of the questions i saw in my reading comprehension section of the gre were similar to the ones i have practiced on magoosh's platform. besides, a day before my actual gre exam i have given a sample practice test on magoosh platform and it predicted that my score would be 322. the very next day, i was surprised to receive the exact same scores on ets gre test screen monitor at the end of my gre exam. this testifies the veracity and reliability of the magoosh platform. :) hats off to the magoosh team for developing such a unique platform for gre preparation.

i must say magoosh is a must for all gre appearing students. i wish to specially mention the maths team, tutorials are easy to understand and cover each and every aspect of topic. my verbal skills are weak since long but chris deserves a thumbs up for the verbal section and vocab wednesday.

magoosh quant and verbal lessons are good,awa tips are excellent.

magoosh questions, to my mind, are more enjoyable and therefore can be duly hailed as edutainment, enlightening and elevating edutainment. your verbal questions together with relevant video classes constitute the best learning experience i’ve had with regard to the english language. let’s come straight to the point: for gre verbal, they are ultimately beneficial. on top of that, anything concerning quantitative reasoning is perfectly salubrious to my knowledge. my favorite video lesson is “percentile” by mike mcgarry: he was marvelous in presenting that class. moreover, his adage is the most impressive one i’ve heard about mathematics: regurgitating a formula is not mathematical understanding; this understanding hinges on mastering principles.

i basically use magoosh as my only resource to prepare for gre. i think the verbal part helps me a lot. the questions are really challenging and i feel much better when i do the actual test.
