i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh was awesome and i have been recommending it to others. magoosh had more practice problems than other materials i encountered, which was crucial. magoosh's system of categorization of the videos/quizzes was extremely helpful to keep everything straight/ find a specific review. the flash card app was just what i needed- i did vocab whenever i was on the metro or waiting around. finally, indicating the question difficulty was extremely useful.

jumped 6 points in math and 3 points in verbal from first practice exam.

i was extremely satisfied with the magoosh experience. the video lessons and video explanations were fantastic, and the experience was both more affordable and more customizable than an in-person class would have been. i have already referred several friends.

i mainly focused on the quantitative part. the math exercises on magoosh were a bit harder than the real thing. by trying to solve them in about the same time allowed in the gre i improved a great deal my execution speed and accuracy!

i wasn't worried about receiving a high score in math, so i focused almost exclusively on the verbal. magoosh helped me learn to quickly and accurately navigate the text completion questions and to look for traps in those long reading comp questions.

magoosh was extremely helpful. the blog, video lectures and in particular the questions and their explanations were extremely lucid and precise.
it made learning a fun experience :)
their approach to verbal section, which focused more on understanding the sentence structure and not simply rote learning the words proved to be helpful

magoosh helped me immensely. i have been out of school for over ten years. i took all the practice questions and watched about a third of the videos. i also used the advanced math program as a study template. i am extremely satisfied with this effective and affordable product!

i let application deadlines sneak up on me so i only had 2 weeks to study. my practice scores were in the 155-160 range when i started. by the end of two weeks of full-time studying, the magoosh estimates were spot-on with my final scores.

my study plan consisted of a week of lessons, practice, and flashcards, followed by a week of full-length tests once a day - a combination of ets and magoosh mock tests.

the verbal lessons and explanations really helped me understand how to approach reading comprehension. the math practice was invaluable, as well.

for anyone on the fence about magoosh, if you only spent money on one gre study resource, it should be this. it is worth far more than the price.

the questions provided by magoosh are very similar to the actual gre ones. not only the practice questions, but the level of difficulty of the practice tests is also commensurate with the real gre. i am glad that i was able to tap the resources and increase my score by 6 points and .5 in awa.

magoosh has the perfect combination of practice exercises, in-depth explanations and completely customizable tests. i found the material to be very close to the actual gre so i didn't face any surprises when i took the test. i had purchased other materials from other companies for the gre but magoosh is superior to all of them. combined!

magoosh is an amazing gre preparatory program. the combination of lessons and questions insured i wasn't surprised by anything on the test.

i loved the video explanations with every problem. it was really great for me to see a problem, not understand it (or think i understood it and get it wrong) and then have someone walk me through it step by step. the videos were a great length, too. if i had had more time to study for the gre i'm sure i would have done even better thanks to magoosh being such an awesome resource. i loved all the individual video lessons and how they were suggested along with each practice problem. i also appreciated all of the support emails. it was so sweet to receive one before test day telling me to relax, not drink coffee, etc. i appreciated the tone of magoosh- very friendly, encouraging, and not intimidating. i will definitely be recommending you to friends. thank you!

providing countless quant problems with excellent explanations. the quick and quality feedback made learning fun again.

magoosh helped me immensely. its question bank was fantastic, having a video explanation for every question made sure i could figure out where i was going wrong. having a statistical breakdown of performance by question type helped me focus on what i was weak on and helped me study as efficiently as i could.

practice problems were extremely reflective of the actual test and no other review company had step by step solution video.

so helpful!! especially for math. the videos were awesome as were the practice problems, and i loved doing everything at my own pace.

i hadn't done math in 6 years (literally), so the videos really helped me re-learn all of the math. they especially helped me organize my knowledge, so i had strategies to attack each kind of problem.

magoosh allowed me to practice a lot of math in a short time: i solved between 40-80 math questions a day for about eight days.

the explanations filled in my conceptual gaps, most notably on number properties problems which i used to dread and now enjoy.

the question bank is large and covers all the concepts on the gre. through practice and by using some new approaches, i became significantly faster on most types of questions. last time i took the gre, i ran out of time on the math sections. this time, i had up to five minutes left at the end of the math sections (but must have overlooked some mistakes!).

i loved the layout of magoosh. it's straight forward and comprehensive. the math videos were wonderful. they taught me what i needed to know in an efficient way that was easy to retain. i also benefited greatly from the vocabulary resources.

it was so helpful to have an interface that allowed me to customize my practice depending on my needs. thanks to the data tracking, i was able to see where my weaknesses were and focus on them. i was also able to see my strengths and walk into the testing center with extreme confidence that i knew what would be on the test.

magoosh was great in helping me get familiar with the test pattern and the types of questions. i really liked the way exercises could be customized to suit my needs.

i could login and watch the lessons on my mobile, my mac or on a tv.

i loved the gre flashcards app.

score prediction provided was also pretty accurate. the upper range predicted for me based on the questions i answered was 325. i ended up scoring 326.

the best $99 i've ever spent on a coaching program!

provided good practice material: great in terms of difficulty, good in terms of similarity to actual gre material.
