i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh makes me more familiar with the problems of gre.
and the difficulty of magoosh practice fits the one of the test really well, thus preparing students for the test better.
what is more, the replies of magoosh for my emails are really fast, trying their best to solve every problem we met.

the practice questions very closely approximated the types of questions i was asked on the actual exam. the interface made it easy for me to integrate doing practice questions into my daily routine. the iphone flashcards for both vocabulary and math kept me occupied on the train and bus. these all contributed to a heightened familiarity with the test as a whole such that i didn't feel nervous or apprehensive on test day. there was tons of useful content on the magoosh blogs.

i though that the adaptable feature was helpful since i was able to mostly work on hard questions. magoosh was easier for me to work with than practice tests since i could just do a few timed questions in between breaks at work rather than sit down for an entire practice test.

it helped me improve in both the sections of the test. good practice and good lessons. the instant availability meant i could study on my own time.

i couldn't have done it without magoosh math and verbal videos. the strategies on how to answer tough questions quickly and when to just guess are extremely valuable. i only had one month to study and i thought i was doomed. the one month study plan was spot on, i finished a week before schedule. the videos are clear and so easy to understand. i had all the help i needed just by logging on to the website. improvement was phenomenal, when i saw the questions i automatically understood what they wanted. i did not waste time thinking about what the question was asking. it was a whole different kind of learning. i feel sorry for people who take the gre without magoosh. i can't thank you enough guys. keep up the good work.

great practice setup made it really easy to do the questions. mobile flashcards were quite useful.

i was most fearful of the math section, since the last math class i took was 5 years ago. i absolutely love that magoosh emphasizes true understanding over the memorization of formulas. it elucidates all the concepts that i needed to know and it provides strategies and hints that are essential to doing well on the actual test. moreover, the verbal lesson videos are engaging. they do an awesome job at picking the mind of the test taker in terms of why he or she may fall for trap answers and how he or she can improve. i also love the lesson on stress! i definitely had to watch that a couple of times in order to keep my sanity. thank you magoosh!

i started out studying with just test prep books and found it hard to figure out what i should spend more time working on. with magoosh, i could see what types of questions i was getting wrong (or answering too slowly) and watch lessons and practice primarily with the questions that were more challenging for me.

magoosh helped a lot! being able to time myself on questions let me simulate a real test environment for the math part. i still had a really tough time on the math section, or at least it felt really stressful, but to be fair i didn't even take math in grade twelve, much less college (i got my degree in applied arts, haha!) the verbal section was great because i could focus on the long essay section. not only did this help me improve my critical thinking and analyzation skills, but the amount of essays i read helped me when it came to writing my own essays. i did much better on the verbal than i thought, and i think a large part of it is how many essays i read when i did the long paragraph sections. i also did better on the math section than i had hoped, even though i felt like i just blanked out during the test and can't even remember a single thing about it.

the first time i took the gre i scored a 324 (v-162 q-162) after 2 months of studying. i was aiming for a 330 and decided to do the advanced 90 day study plan, focusing specifically on the quantitative section. i was very impressed at how comprehensive the plan was, giving specific tasks each day for verbal/quant. i was able to learn really quickly through the online practice questions which areas i needed to improve. on the day i took the gre, i couldn't believe how much easier it was. i ended improving 15 points to a 339 and couldn't have done it without the valuable resources provided through magoosh's website and mobile app. worth every penny.

it raised my math score by 10 points from my original prognostic exam.

it was great being exposed to so many questions, as well as study plans to base planning off of. and this is one of the only places that keeps up to date with gre formatting.

the text completion questions are very, very good. in fact, they are the best among the gre questions i have finished.

magoosh is such a multifaceted product - whether it came to a multitude of practice questions, instruction videos or flashcards, it has it all! it helped me not only get the practice i needed in a timed environment just like the gre itself, the video lessons really helped concepts to stick in my mind, especially with their handy 'notes' feature! the vocab words and question types were spot on when it came to the actual gre - i faced no surprises on test day because i had finished the magoosh product. i especially appreciated the verbal lessons, which beautifully illustrated the right way to approach the questions - i would not have reached this score, particularly in the verbal section, had magoosh not guided me in the right direction.

i used to run out of time in the verbal section. even though i tried to time my reading in paper based material, i did not get much improvement until i used magoosh. the timer of each question is really convenient and it exerts the pressure of the test on me. in addition, the questions in magoosh are really closed to the actual test, even more difficult. after doing lots of magoosh questions, i found the actual test questions easy! in addition, the video lessons and the magoosh support are very useful. thanks to carolyn for answering my questions so patiently and in time.

the exercises in magoosh are very similar to the real gre test!

it mainly help me in the verbal section, especially tc and se practices, which are very very similar to real ets questions.

magoosh was the only study material i used... and clearly the only study material i needed. the organization was superb, and the practice questions and corresponding helpful answer videos were spot on. this seriously made my gre experience so much better than i was expecting it to be; i s*** you not - i even enjoyed it. i looked forward to waking up every morning and doing 20 and 20 practice questions! never thought i would say that about a standardized test...
