i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh helped me tremendously by showing several techniques and approaches that really simplified the exam. also, the sheer amount of practice material and the lessons provided a big boost to my confidence.

magoosh was a critical component of my study plan. i started out scoring in the low 300s on my diagnostic exams from various publishers. after completing about 80% of the verbal and quant questions, as well as learning and practicing a little under 1,000 words, i managed to score a 321. actually, i'm fairly certain magoosh prepared me well enough to score a 330 as my powerprep exams were quite high, but i was really nervous on test day due to my application hinging heavily on my gre score. overall, magoosh is simply the best test prep option on the market.

magoosh really helped me get to the level i wanted through it's thick library of practice problems and step by step solutions. i would recommend it to anyone preparing for the gre.

i really enjoyed studying with all of magoosh's study aids - the video lessons, the practice questions, the vocabulary/math flashcards, the vocabulary builder and the study plans. i followed the 30 day study plan since i discovered magoosh a little late and i am glad i did! i wish i had discovered it earlier, because 30 days was just enough time to go over all their material once - i would have liked to revise certain concepts and watch some of the videos again but i didn't have enough time. all the same, the last month of prep with magoosh really helped me achieve my final score.
i particularly liked the review feature which helped me identify my rate of accuracy and my problem areas. the score predictor was also fairly accurate about my performance. i also liked their approach to the math questions - it helped me understand better, certain concepts i was struggling with. in fact for both math and verbal the general strategies that magoosh devised, according to each section and question type was greatly helpful and helped me maximize my time and give my best on test day. the difficulty level of the questions was just right to keep the practice sessions challenging enough.
i would definitely recommend magoosh to anyone aiming for a high score on the gre!

magoosh did an incredible job of preparing me for the sort of questions that would be on the actual test. my math section is what i was most wanting to improve and after using this software--i scored 9 points higher. i even scored 4 points higher on my verbal section.

magoosh is really unique in the way that it doesn't load you up with tons of formulas for every little concept which is very hard to remember once you have covered the whole course.

as far as verbal is concerned, chris is just amazing. the way he explains the concepts, it really helps.

magoosh was a life-saver. even though i only had a month to study for the gre, i felt confident going into the test, thanks to magoosh. i purchased magoosh premium and wholeheartedly believe it was $100 well spent. the videos were extremely instructive and clear - not painful at all. the practice questions were very realistic to the questions i saw on the actual exam (i actually found magoosh's math a little harder than the actual; verbal was spot on) and the video explanations were so helpful. i followed the one month daily gre study schedule provided by magoosh, which really helped structure my studying time, and downloaded magoosh's vocab app on my phone. i also read magoosh ebook on vocab which was extremely helpful as well. i really do believe my results were a direct result of using magoosh.

it helped me by providing a long list of useful exercises, providing me a good estimate of the gre's true difficulty.

magoosh was excellent for both refreshing on concepts and for practice. the verbal and math questions offered are harder than what i faced when i took the actual gre, so it made the test experience less stressful and easier to earn a good score!

both my math and vocab were a bit rusty (english is not my first language), so magoosh literally saved my life! what i think helped the most were the quizzes and practice tests, especially the video explanations of each problem. i loved the fact that it was a self-paced program and that i could access it anywhere and at any time. the estimate scores of the practice tests were very accurate and taking these tests gave the confidence i needed for the real thing! even more, i cannot believe i spent just $100 for such a great program! also, special thanks to the magoosh team for answering all of my questions and for providing such a personalized service :)

the wealth of resources really helped me get a handle on where to start and how to study effectively. the lessons were critical to my understanding of key concepts, particularly on the quantitative section.

magoosh was incredibly helpful. having the format nearly the same as the actual exam, and the hundreds of easy-to-follow video explanations for practice questions made me feel much more prepared than i would have been otherwise.

i almost exclusively used magoosh's gre preparation product for my preparation. since i had to work full time during the entire duration of my preparation, i found magoosh extremely helpful as i could use it anywhere and at anytime according to my convenience. the free blogs were also extremely helpful. i had a difficult time concentrating because of a lack of sleep a day before the exam, otherwise i would have received a better score overall. :)

i was stuck in the 68th percentile in math (157) in all the practice tests from ets after studying for over a month. with one week to go before the actual exam, i decided to take a chance with magoosh because i needed to be in the 80th percentile or above.

i wish now that i had taken that chance sooner. after watching their video lessons, i finally understood geometry and the counting principles (i was able to think and solve the problems instead of frantically trying to use formulas i actually didn't get).

the practice exams are tougher and they recreate the exam day with the extra section. i trained myself in endurance with these tests because i had noticed that i screwed myself in the last two sections out of tiredness. after doing 2 of their practice tests i felt confident during the actual gre, i knew i could push myself through.

magoosh predicted a 156-161 in math and a 155-160 in verbal. their predictions were accurate, i got a 161 in math and a 160 verbal.

magoosh is certainly the best way to prepare for the gre. the question sets are very close to what u find in the actual exam. the video lessons helped me improve a lot, with some time saving tricks given in the lessons. the study plans are great and very well made. this was the only thing which i used in my preparation. the email support is really great and helped me throughout with prompt replies and answering to my each and every query in detail.


overall magoosh is an excellent product and it's completely worth all the money. thank you magoosh team!

magoosh provides lots of great difficult problems that test less common but important concepts. i learned tons simply by going through them all. i also love how the appropriate lesson is linked to each problem, so if you get one wrong it's easy to see what you need to review. with all the junk available on the internet, i'm very happy to have found a quality product like magoosh.

magoosh helped me in many ways. i decided to organize my preparations in the best way. so, i started by watching all the video lessons of magoosh (even if some were quite easy). some were describing issues that helped me in difficult questions. when i finished the lessons, i started taking some random questions (both quant and verbal) and simultaneously i was reading the vocabulary flashcards. as soon as i had finished almost 2/3 of the flashcards, i thought i was ready to start testing. so, i took all of the rest questions that i had left unanswered in the form of mock exams. in the meanwhile, i had been marking the most difficult questions, so that during the last week, i made a review of all the questions that were marked to see if i could solve them this time. so, after all this i went to the real gre test having seen a lot of really hard questions, thus i was not really anxious.

the video lectures are extremely helpful. i would especially like to thank chris! i was extremely bad at verbal at the beginning but following the methods presented in the video lectures helped me out big time. thank you so much :-)

magoosh helped so much! i studied for less than a month but i made huge improvements in that time. i really struggled with gre math at first, but the video explanations for problems i got wrong were very clear plus the voice was so reassuring ("o-k, for this problem..."). additionally, i expanded my vocab a lot with the ebooks.
