i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

the custom practice tests of magoosh are by far the best feature wherein you can revisit all the questions which you got wrong the first time. the score predictor is another cool feature. the score predictor predicted 161-166 on math for me and 151-156 on english.
and the word list compiled by the magoosh team is by far one of the most comprehensive lists i have come across. once you become familiar with the words, then it is just a function of practice.

magoosh is really a one of its kind, inexpensive and extremely useful coaching program for gre preperation. magoosh questions and practice tests simulate the real gre very well. it's quite amazing that many of its preperation aids are provided free of cost; you guys are doing a great service to the student community. chris lele is a dynamite: i haven't seen anyone with such enthusiasm for teaching. mike mcgarry makes doing tough math questions fun. other tutors involved in making the superb video lessons also have my thanks. customer care services are very responsive and helpful as well. i needed a high gre score and got one solely due to magoosh. thank you!

i sincerely sincerely appreciate what magoosh has brought to me. i was so uptight all the time dealing with verbal questions, since english is not my mother tongue. magoosh's video lessons gave me the basic ideas of how to tackle verbal questions, although i did not actually finish them, lol. the 500+ verbal questions are generally harder than the those i saw in the real test. tc questions are extremely impressive. as for quantitative reasoning, the high intensity training from the questions provided by magoosh is definitely necessary, even for those who are good at math--there are always things you are not 100% sure of.
plus, those apps are so easy to use and so cute:)

magoosh was really helpful especially with my verbal part as it made things much easier for me on the final day.

magoosh was extremely helpful in every aspect of the gre. the lesson videos were both informative and succinct. the math problems were more difficult than the actual gre (which was a great bonus as the math during the test was quite easy). i especially liked the step-by-step instruction video after completing practice problems. magoosh is an amazing gre prep site, and i've recommended it to anyone who'll listen!

i had initially bought the official gre study guide book from ets, but it was very inconvenient to carry around. i ended up using magoosh as my only prep source after i found out about it. several features were incredibly helpful - the ability to customize practices by difficulty and topic, the fact that it was online and accessible anywhere, and definitely the text and video explanations for every single question. so glad i found out about magoosh, was amazing for practice!

magoosh really helped me a great deal with well organized and very helpful lessons, well design practise questions with proper, slightly harder difficulty levels as well as a lot of useful resources. and caring staff that made me feel not alone during the otherwise dull and onerous preparation process. very grateful that i discovered magoosh after i failed the first attempt for the test, definitely worth it.

magoosh's flexible study model let me watch videos via its app while commuting to work and do a ton of math practice problems, which is where i needed help. it has an easy-to-use interface and seems to be one of the more affordable gre study assistance programs. i was lured by the free materials you all provide (gre flashcard app, math formula guide) and then signed up when i realized i needed a lot more help with the math. thanks!

the practice test makes me to accommodate to the real examination. by the way, my girlfriend finally scored 320 after utilizing magoosh, recommended by one of my old friends who scored 327 in gre.

to be honest, for weeks i just used the free flashcards (which are excellent resources in and of themselves). at the last minute (literally, two days before the test) i realized i should take some practice tests and get some real studying in. i crammed practice questions, and ended up completing two full practice tests in one day. this helped tremendously, and gave me the sense of timing (especially on the more time-consuming math questions) that i needed to do well on the exams.

i ended up scoring excellently, yet i can only imagine the score i could have earned if i had followed magoosh's recommended study plan, instead of cramming in the final weekend.

so many useful lessons, with emphasis placed on areas that would likely be on the test without sacrificing coverage.

magoosh's questions and lesson videos were essential to scoring as well as i did. when i started studying 2 months ago, i hadn't done serious math since high school. without the materials on this site, i would've been hard-pressed to get in the mid-150s, let alone crack 160.

i really loved my experience with magoosh and have been recommending the service to friends. i found the volume of practice problems to be the most beneficial aspect, and i definitely got a lot of value from the video explanations. i also enjoyed (so much as one can enjoy studying vocabulary) the flashcard app.

magoosh outlined all of the concepts in a pellucid, distinctive fashion. amazingly, every single concept was presented by a helpful videos emphasizing tips and tricks that proved to be extremely useful on the actual gre. i recognized almost all of the math questions on the gre due to the comprehensive list of math problems on magoosh and greatly increased my verbal score for the same reasons.

magoosh gave me a complete picture of what to expect and how to prepare for the gre. the lessons gave me an accessible way to review and learn math concepts, and i didn't have to constantly ask myself, "is this aligned to the gre?" it also provided a bank of test questions i knew would be more than i could get through.

the best thing about my gre prep was magoosh! the video lessons, vocab builder, study plans and blogs are all excellent. but the best part for me about magoosh was its questions bank. excellent variety of questions, both for math and verbal. very satisfied with magoosh. thanks!

the strategy videos and problem explanations were invaluable to improving my quantitative scores. there's a big difference between merely being able to solve the quantitative problems and being able to solve them quickly. every problem on which you spend an inordinate amount of time steals time from other problems and can hurt your overall score. even if you get a problem right, if it takes you more than about 2 minutes to solve, consider it wrong and find a better way to approach it. that strategy will really add points to your score. magoosh helped aid that strategy by reminding me of all the little tricks i had forgotten in the years since i learned all this stuff.

great practices. the vocabulary builder and the vocabulary guide e-book are really helpful! also, the emails from rachel are an encouragement during my preparation.

the video examples and practice exams mirrored the tests very well. i also was very impressed with the online help i received from the instructors.

very realistically simulated the test -- it had all the question types that were on the test and in the right proportion. the practice tests were very similar to the actual test in terms of what type of questions are on what part of the test (e.g. text completion at first for verbal). additionally, magoosh's questions are very similar to those on the gre in terms of difficulty, style, and length.

the post-question explanations were crucial to understand my errors and how to improve. all the lesson videos -- especially for math -- were great for accustoming me to the question types as well as refreshing my skills.
