you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

seriously, i love magoosh! even though i did not get the highest score on gre, it is magoosh that helped me to get what i got. magoosh is amazing, it converted my preparation into smooth, easy and, which is more important, exciting journey!!! thank you so much! your help is very useful!

the videos, questions and vocabulary flashcards were extremely helpful. the questions that i saw on the actual test were very similar to many of the practice questions. i'm terrible at math and magoosh really helped me understand concepts better. the tutors were very responsive and the blogs were insightful. thank you so much!

the math practice questions (and a few of the videos). the questions were very similar in style and difficulty to those on the exam. i was totally prepared and reached my target score!

overall: clear, organized and straight to the point. so much so that i didn't have to take the full-length test that came with the premium account. the practice questions and accompanying explanations were enough.

magoosh helped me a lot in organizing my preparation and achieving a good score. the video explanations and flashcard app were very helpful. the topic wise breakdown of sections made learning very easy. i had procrastinated a lot but magoosh helped me to achieve a score of 320+ (i prepared just for 2 weeks). i believe that if one uses this product sincerely for 6 months, the perfect gre score can be easily achieved. thank you magoosh. :)

verbal was really tough for me. magoosh questions, videos and flash cards helped me a lot on this. chris's videos and explanations was awesome :)

maths techniques and practice questions. couldn't have done it without magoosh!

the video guides were awesome! :d the tips they contained and great placement of relevant magoosh blog post links right under the video were a great help! i didn't use a lot of practice questions, but if i give the gre again(which i might in the coming month or so, i will surely solve all the questions this time around!) chris is the best gre instructor i have ever encountered! his blog posts have helped me a ton in my verbal prep.

the timed tests were great, as well as the math lessons when i was reviewing the subject areas.

for me, the practically endless supply of (realistic) practice questions available on magoosh gave me exactly what i needed to make sure i was prepared for test day. magoosh gives you the different options to study how you want to study, which makes all of the difference.

magoosh was extremely helpful with the video explanations. the math concepts i learned i finally felt like i could remember and apply them to problems.

the math tutorial videos demonstrated how such basic concepts could be applied in a challenging way on the gre, which i found very helpful.

magoosh's diverse practice questions and practical tips were very useful on the test. the opportunity to take timed quizzes was invaluable - my time management definitely improved thanks to magoosh! i would definitely recommend it.

i used only the official ets book along with magoosh. needless to say, magoosh played a huge role in my prep. i was mainly focusing on improving my verbal score, and i ended up doing most of the question set about 1.5 times. this resulted in a much better understanding of the question types, how to analyze the various options and what traps to avoid. plus, i also used the questions as a way of building my vocabulary. for every word that i encountered during practice that i didn't know, i made sure to understand and remember it before moving forward. i also used the vocabulary apps by magoosh.

i bought magoosh premium only a week before my second test. it helped me a lot! the video explanations of both verbal and math questions are so clear.

the magoosh verbal builder is very useful for memorizing gre words in a short period of time. i signed up for magoosh 2 weeks before my gre test. i tried to memorize every basic level words and intermediate level words in 10 days. and my verbal sore is much higher than i expected.(i got 143 on my first magoosh verbal practice)

great videos and explanations. an abundance of great sample questions. great software that allowed me to focus on my weak areas.

tc and se videos were very good, they helped me a lot during the real test. the strategies explained are really useful and efficient, given the time constraint on gre.
i wanted to improve my score on both sections, and magoosh videos were very helpful. magoosh questions, though not perfect, were actually the best of all other available resources.
a word of advice - do follow magoosh study schedule. without a study schedule, i think one might not be able to study for and perform better on gre. a fixed study schedule helps maintain interest as one needs to achieve targets, as outlined in lucid magoosh study schedules. for me, these free schedules were as equally helpful as the magoosh's paid questions.

it really helped tremendously. as i only got slightly over a week to prepare for gre, i found the practice questions as well as mock tests offered on magoosh very close to the real gre in terms of difficulty and logical structure. i will recommend anyone with tight schedule to try those mock tests.

amazing! great for practice. i did not have enough time to utilize the services completely. but, it did great help in plunging 12 extra points in my test.

math was my biggest problem-area, primarily due to a lack of practice. having access to such a large question bank, as well as written and video explanations for every single question (and suggested lesson videos!) made it much easier to practice math. i also liked the difficulty-ranking of questions since it gave me a rough idea of the expectation for that question - if i got an easy question wrong, i really needed to make sure i understood why, but if the question was very hard then i needn't feel so bad about having missed something.

i also liked the ability to craft multiple practice tests, as well as to target practice sections and set different times, etc.

when i heard about the gre for the first time, i dismissed it as another examination which required a day or two to study and achieve a big score. a little bit of google search showed me how wrong i was. it also made me tense. i really wanted to crack this exam. but i had no idea about where to begin or how to approach this tricky exam.

google 'guru' again helped me in this matter. i learned that manhattan was not only a city but also the name of a book publisher. i got to know kaplan was not just a name and that nova is not just related to supernovas (don't even get me started!). finally, i also read about a very peculiar sounding thing, magoosh.

i researched thoroughly for 2 weeks before investing in magoosh. i read a lot of reviews, consulted a few friends, read blogs and finally decided to 'invest' in magoosh. it is a decision that i will never regret!

i followed the 90-day basic study plan with a modification. i also incorporated most elements from the advanced study plan and made it unique (well, sort of). i followed the magoosh plan to the t up to the 10th week. that's when almost all the questions available from your question bank were exhausted. this was the foundation of my gre study plan.

i practiced more than 99% of the questions from your question bank (to be precise, all questions except 34 easy math questions!). i also watched most of the video explanations and almost all the tutorial videos. these formed the bricks and walls of my study plan.

the blogs helped me to focus in the latter stages of my studies when i was stuck on what more to do. especially the blog which stated the slight shift in the gre question pattern. this helped to tone my skills accordingly. the blogs were the roof.

i watched the vocabulary wednesday videos on youtube. these provided the finishing touch to my study plan.

i also took two practice tests from magoosh.

to summarize, magoosh was my tutor and guide. without magoosh help, i would have done a lot worse. i am happy with what i achieved (a nice round 320 - v161/ q159)

ps:a nice 160 in quant would have been even more satisfying.

the video lessons were perfect for reviewing concepts i hadn't seen in several years and i felt like the practice questions were really close in difficulty to the real test. i also loved the free vocab apps and vocab wednesday videos! i didn't need a perfect score, so i loved that i could dictate the pace and difficulty of my studying to match my goals. i ended up scoring much higher than my original target score - thank you magoosh!
