i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

hi, magoosh was the best prep course for gre. i was very confident in maths but my verbal was not that great since i never had the habit of reading books. magoosh was a complete package that helped me a lot in my preparations.

when i first started my preparations i was pathetic at verbal. but when i was through the course i was scoring well above my expecatations. one just need to never be discouraged and put in his/her 'heart n soul' to ace the gre. thanks team magoosh. i love you guys.

magoosh taught me new ways of looking at questions and how to decode complicated problems. the methods behind answering the verbal section were particularly invaluable - the videos taught me to approach text completions and sentence equivalences in ways i had never thought of, ways that i honestly wish i would have known about when taking the sat 5 years ago. i studied magoosh lessons and practice problems for about 3-4 hours per day for 4 weeks, religiously following the "day-by-day" month-long schedule and balancing studying with an internship and part-time job, and was still able to get a decent score. thank you, magoosh!

magoosh gave me a great, well-rounded gre prep experience. math concepts are clearly communicated, and the practice problems were a huge help in gauging my progress. using the mobile apps, i could practice anytime, anywhere.

i would split this question into two parts:
quant: it was really magical. almost all the concepts were taught in the videos. many people say that the practise questions in magoosh are tougher than exam but in fact,they actually reflect the same difficulty level as in the gre.
overall, if one has to nail the quant section, he has to use magoosh.
you know, 1 same question(i dont know if the numbers are same) from the practise material came for exam
verbal: it was always my weaker side.... but the vocab wednesdays and the videos helped me a lot.
i followed the daily study schedule for advanced students....it was really helpful to give me a more focused approach.

magoosh not only helped me in the verbal part of the exam but also, in the math part. i felt i could have scored around 315 without magoosh but with magoosh practice i was able to reach to a decent score of 321.

i found the customized practice option to be incredibly helpful, and to really set magoosh apart from other test prep materials. also distinguishing magoosh are its extensive and interactive vocabulary flashcards. the graduate programs to which i am applying don't really care about my math score, but care a lot about my verbal score, so it was wonderful to be able to set my math options in customized practice to "easy"//www.catharsisit.com/gre/"medium" for gentle review, while creating a much more challenging study regimen for verbal. it paid off on test day!

the practice tests really help me a lot for my verbal test!! like the lucid video and answer key for every question. also love the vocabulary flashcards! incredible tool for gre!!

the last time i took the gre was about ten years ago, so i was pretty worried about revisiting the math section since i hadn't really used those skills in a long time. after about a month and a half of reviewing with magoosh (while also working full time) i was able to take the test and pull off a 163 on the math portion. as an added bonus, the time i spent reviewing the and taking practice tests also helped me to achieve a perfect 170 on the verbal portion. both of those scores were several points above my estimated scores from the practice tests i took beforehand, and they are far better than i ever would have imagined after having been away from school for several years. magoosh helped me to feel prepared and confident and helped to give me the scores to match.

magoosh was awesome. the book reviews were incredibly helpful in supplementing the product. the many varied study plans helped me commit to studying but modify the content when necessary. the vocab techniques were amazing. i've never been able to memorize and have so much fun with vocab. the response time of the staff was awesome.

i would recommend magoosh to people who are ready to commit to seriously improving their scores.

magoosh was the best way to study when and where i want to. it measures how you are improving in a really good way.

i didn't have much time to study, but the math questions were very similar to the ones on the test, which proved useful.

there are so many videos that explain every type of problem and question while also having accompanying practice problems. i would not have been nearly as prepared for the vast array of problems found on the gre without having used magoosh.

magoosh helped me a lot with the quantitative section. the practice exercises are very close to the real test questions, somewhat more difficult the ets questions. that's a good thing.

magoosh video lessons in verbal were extremely helpful and chris explains each and every topic with a lot of simplicity. i could directly use the methodologies suggested by chris in the exam. the custom practice tool was also extremely helpful as it helped me to directly focus on my weak areas.

magoosh is really helpful. it's the only preparation material i used to prepare for my gre test. the explanation and video of each question helped me a lot. and the system was a great tool for me to evaluate my strong points as well as weakness. thanks for you guys!

magoosh helped me to review basic math concepts. it also helped me focus specifically what would be on the test. the video explanations for every practice problem were possibly the most helpful.

magoosh really helped me prepare for the test and i am thrilled with the results. before studying with magoosh, my scores were on the low side (540 verbal and 600 math/ old scale) but i was able to improve my scores to 166 in verbal and 155 in math, which is a substantial increase. i studied the magoosh materials near religiously, and although i complemented them with other materials from another major test prep service (which was more expensive!), magoosh was by far superior! the explanations were crystal clear, the material spot on in terms of actual gre content, and the strategies were extremely effective. thanks for providing a wonderful and affordable product. i'll be sure to tell anyone i know who is taking the gre about magoosh!

the magoosh practice problems were as difficult, and some were even more difficult, than what the gre tests. the really great part of this is that in doing these practice problems, magoosh helped me learn how to break down these problems and identify what properties or principles were actually being tested, so that i would know how to approach similar problems come test day.
the "customize your practice session" features were particularly helpful to me, as i could make mini-quizzes with adaptive difficulty and a strict time limit so i got used to solving these problems quickly and efficiently, just as i would on test day. before using magoosh, i always ran out of time on the math sections during practice and during the actual test. after practicing with magoosh, i found myself with a couple minutes left at the end of each section so i could go back and check my answers, and finished each section confident that i was able to solve the problems to the best of my abilities without running out of time.
i loved the video explanations, and i had a hard time understanding text explanations to problems given in other gre prep books/software.
i would highly recommend magoosh to anyone looking to boost their gre score!

extremely helpful videos coupled with a raft of challenging questions gave me an edge during the test. i also found the study plans quite detailed and comprehensive. overall, it has been a wonderful learning experience with magoosh.

after using kaplan to study for my first exam, i was surprised by what material was actually on the exam. magoosh actually prepared me for what to look out for on the gre.

the math instructional videos were lifesavers. i am thrilled with my quant score -- when i began studying, i thought it would be a stretch for me to break the 160 mark, and i ended up with 165!

i also loved the tailored practice questions for math and verbal -- after i had gone through the instructional videos and 5 question quizzes, i did several sets of longer "quiz style" review, which boosted my confidence.

i want to stress that i am a pretty regular guy in his late 20s with a full time job with high demands yet i also like to socialize on the weekends with friends. i don't have a lot of time to spare but i know that i want to go back to school to provide a better future for myself. magoosh's videos and helpful assistants that emailed me eased me in to the process of studying some concepts that i hadn't thought about since my early 20s in college. there is such an overwhelming amount of instruction in the videos with clear and insightful tips that cover pretty much anything you'll come across on the real test. the practice questions are an excellent match to the difficulty of the real test and represent a very similar variety of questions by ets. thank you so much! i only wanted to take this test once, to be perfectly honest, and i gave up a lot of what little free time i had to make it happen. magoosh was there for me every step of the way and allowed me to fit my studying time in to my schedule. i utilized 100% of the practice questions available (over 1000!) and nearly 100% of the hours upon hours of video instruction. thank you so much! i scored a 326 combined math and verbal!
