i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh was a truly fantastic gre prep tool. i always felt quite confident on the math section but magoosh still helped me cement my key skills. however, the verbal is where magoosh really helped me with fantastic instruction and great vocab builder/flashcard apps!

i owe my entire score to magoosh - it's the best program money can buy!

nearly two years ago i discovered magoosh through a web search. i purchased their excellent, comprehensive online program, with grand ambitions of really upping my quant game. somewhere along the line, i became flippant about my gre studies and grad school pursuits, and my first gre score reflects this: i got utterly trounced in math and didn't live up to my potential in verbal, having barely touched any of the lessons or taken a single practice exam beforehand.

after putting my grad school dreams on hold for more than a year, i came back to magoosh this year with my eye on the prize - i was determined to correct my heinous, lackluster first gre attempt. with magoosh's excellent video tutorials, i basically retaught myself all the math i had forgotten since high school. i also made extensive use of their verbal practice, ultimately doing all the quant and verbal questions available (twice!).

all my hard work paid off big time today. a perfect 170 in verbal, and a respectable 158 in math (which i feel i could have done better on; my pacing got a little flustered towards the end of the final quant section - not magoosh's fault!). an 18 point improvement over my initial attempt.

had it not been for all the practice questions and tests i did with magoosh, i would still have the dubious honor of having a substandard gre going into my grad school apps. thankfully, that's not the case anymore!

i would absolutely recommend magoosh to anyone who is serious about their gre preparation; i did, after all, purchase the comprehensive plan (math + verbal) three times in total. if you put a lot into it, you'll get a lot out of it!

it was very easy to review all the math ideas with the videos. i think magoosh is incredibly thorough, and i appreciate the practice question explanation videos and detailed study plan. i felt confident going into the test even though i only have myself a month to prepare for it.

one of the many things i like about magoosh is that they have provided video explanation for every question. i found out what i was doing wrong , how should i correct it and most importantly how my thinking process should be. the variety and quality of questions are superb!!! thank you for help me :)

having access to lessons and practice problems was the biggest help on the gre. i also utilized the vocabulary flashcards app that made studying vocab on the go really easy. i don't know my essay scores yet, but the tutorials on how to approach them were the only reason i came out with extra time on both essays! that put me in a great place to move on through the rest of the exam.

magoosh helped me get a systematic sense of the types of questions on the exam, and gave me useful strategies to save time, especially on the math section.

video explanations of questions helped a lot.

trap questions of maths were not a problem in maths after doing magoosh questions.

tips for answering verbal questions helped a lot. identifying right answer choices and eliminating wrong ones based on clues worked perfectly.

it helped me to familiarise myself with the structure, purpose and content of the gre, which in turn helped me to prepare psychologically. i especially benefitted from magoosh's maths tutoring, and the verbal reasoning to a lesser extent. i only had a week to study, and not much more than an hour per day. magoosh made that study really efficient, and helped me maximise my score.

magoosh helped me develop a regimented study schedule that kept me honest and provided resources for trouble areas. i was able to find out what i knew and what i didn't know and really target my studying to make the highest impact.

magoosh flashcards helped me a lot, especially just before the day of my exam. the practice questions were quite beneficial in my preparation. i believe that the course is exhaustive and one need not refer to any other source while preparing.

i had very little time to study and also had a little one at home. magoosh offered the perfectly concise and relevant material i wanted. getting a score of 321 with only a month's study is greatly attributed to magoosh.

even though i am generally comfortable in math, magoosh helped me practice problem types that i probably could have figured out with extra time, but wouldn't have known how to handle quickly during a timed test. there are a lot of common tricks to the gre questions and they are fairly predictable, so knowing to anticipate them was extremely helpful. magoosh was great for recognizing when and how to solve specific problems strategically and efficiently.

i really enjoyed the web interface and it encouraged me to focus on areas i needed extra practice in. it's hard to sit down and just read an entire gre prep book. the lesson videos and practice problems made it feel more like a game and helped me prioritize my learning needs.

magoosh was great for my preparation, this is coming for a guy that spent hundredths of dollars in prep books last time i took the test but none of them compare with magoosh explanations and lessons, math on magoosh is a little bit harder than the actual test which can be a double edged sword sometimes a question is really simple but because you are used to the hard stuff ypu start to overthink it.

i thought i was going to do better in math since i scored over 166 in both powerpreps drills but i was freaking out a little bit since i bombed the first essay and i think that affected my performance on the first math section (i was really nervious) and lost a lot of time during the first questions.

i was pleasantly surprised with the improvement in the verbal section with english being my second language vocab is really i used flashcards but i think the ebook helped me the most. words in the book stuck in my memory faster because of the explanations.

i can't say enough good things about magoosh. i've prepped for a variety of tests in the past (lsat, bar exam, act...the list goes on and on), so i've shelled out thousands of dollars on books, classes and online services. i can confidently say that this is by far the best product you can use for test prep. the videos are incredibly helpful, and the video explanations following each practice question are awesome. i did little preparation outside of magoosh and was thrilled to get my score yesterday. awesome product at a wonderful price point. i'm definitely telling all my friends to use this service.

i can hardly begin to qualify the benefit i received from studying with magoosh. simply put, i would not have come close to receiving the kind of score i achieved without the lessons and study tools provided by magoosh. in fact, i'm fairly certain i could have actually failed the entire test.

the lesson plans were perfectly designed to sculpt all the disparate knowledge that i already had locked away into something that could actually be measured and quantified. and amazingly, it only took two months to do it. i simply cannot recommend this program enough. thank you a thousand times.

i put a lot of effort into verbal because english is not my first language, i really think magoosh's practice questions are best for preparation because the difficulty level of other materials i can find seems a little bit easier than the actual gre verbal to me. but if you can beat magoosh's verbal, i'm sure you can handle the gre questions with ease.

magoosh is an excellent source of lectures and practice questions. since most of the programs i am applying focus on quantitative part, i didn't practice all verbal questions (i used premium account). however, half of them is more than enough for me to get 157. my starting point is not good and i started preparing for gre one month before the test. quantitative lessons are excellent and you just need to be careful on the test day to get 160++

it offers questions that are similar but harder than the exam so it's good for people who aims for a higher score.

i'm the epitome of not a math person, and magoosh helped me get the practice and lessons i needed to lock in a 161 on the quantitative section.

magoosh was the only resource i used for gre preparation, and i found the vast collection of practice problems particularly helpful.

magoosh is an extremely thorough, high-quality product, adapted to a variety of learning styles. i loved that each lesson video had a transcription that i could read instead, and that each problem came with both a text and video explanation, as well. the user interface is top-notch, a breeze to use. and the vocab flashcards are superb! i loved the support along the way, and i loved the number and variety of questions. simply put, i loved every aspect of magoosh. there is no way i would have scored as well as i did without the help of magoosh. worth every penny.

i mostly used the verbal questions pool for practicing. i found them very similar to real questions (better than any other test prep). the new vocab builder is also helpful.
