you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

helped me revise math and get better at reading comprehension. i was primarily using it for math and am pretty happy with my math score. i want to make a special shoutout to mike mcgarry, whose measured tones and intelligent breakdown of the math topics was very reassuring and helpful for my revision of math i hadn't done in 12 years. thanks lots.

magoosh improved my command of the math portion of the gre well beyond what i had accomplished on my own for my first attempt.

the math lessons helped refresh me of everything i forgot. the verbal lessons were really helpful with the techniques and tips.

i am 30 years our of college. i thought the online tutorials were outstandingly well planned and strategically organized - well thought. i found the math particularly helpful. unlike verbal skills, it is not something i have been using very day for the last 30 years. the lessons gave great insight into strategy, critical skills and common tricks. my quantitative reasoning scores were exactly within the range that magoosh predicted based on my performance on the practice questions. i can just imagine the score i would have received if i had made it more than half way through the lessons!

you guys are personable and followed up with me (multiple times!) on tips and additional services. you even gave me a free week extension so i could use magoosh in the days leading up to my test! your staff was very refreshing compared to dealing with some kafkaesque customer service bot at kaplan.

easily digestible and apparently comprehensive coverage of concepts in the quant section. i think the videos were the most helpful. if i had to do it over again i would watch all of the videos or at least master the content in conceptual categories that are highly represented on the gre in addition to consistently completing practice questions.

it helped me study for the math portion. it also helped me have an idea about what to expect in verbal.

it was extremely helpful; within a month my score raised from 149 to 162 on verbal, which was the important part for me.

i didn't know any math before i started studying with magoosh and then i managed to get a 159 on the gre after doing almost all of the practice questions. without the lessons and opportunity to practice my new math skills i never would have gotten the score i managed.

the challenge problems on the blog and the wealth of practice problems made the questions on the test seem easy. i ran out of time in the math section the first time i wrote it but this time i had time to spare.
