you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh helped me in more ways than i can quantify. the lessons refreshed my memory on the many different strategies and taught me several new ones as well. i'd like to thank you guys for your help. i highly recommend magoosh as a prep service for the gre.

great practice questions that were maybe a bit harder than the actual test

the verbal practice was excellent: the questions are exactly like real gre questions (down to the stylistic nuances and the common trap answers), the explanations are thorough, and the verbal strategies were useful on the test.

the web site is refreshingly useful and easy to navigate. i particularly liked the ability to make custom practice sets, so that i can easily review missed questions, or focus on a certain question type or difficulty.

taught me all the math ignored in school. the video lessons were truly a lifesaver!

both the math and the verbal videos were extremely helpful. it was very clear what would and would not be on the exam. it helped having explanation videos for each practice question. i found magoosh practice questions to be the most difficult out of any practice materials i found, and i was grateful for this on test day. they really emphasized the common traps the test likes to exploit.

magoosh teaches me some skills and tips.

well?actually i think i get more help on math than verbal. and i don't have totally fathom the verbal of kagoshima.

i am took the gre after studying with magoosh a few years after undergraduate studies, and several years since my last high school algebra class, so i knew i needed to study math in order to do well. magoosh was so helpful in providing every imaginable example of question type and very thorough, easy to follow lessons. i needed the most help with algebra and geometry, but the lessons on how to tackle word problems, even those involving simple math, really went a long way in improving my math score. the dashboard was great to keep track of what i needed to work on, and being able to customize the math practice to the concepts i needed the most was very beneficial. i knew my verbal skills were much higher than my math skills to start with, but going through the specific types of traps and tricks found on the gre helped on test day.

magoosh deserves a lot of credit for the 339 i got. you guys have everything covered: the videos cover everything, including exam hacks; the quality of questions is great; the staff is polite, prompt, and competent; your study schedules and blogs provide brilliant info, even on resources i can use outside of magoosh and the mental prep i should do before the test; and your flashcard apps are really handy.

add to that, online learning at magoosh lets me study when i feel most productive, lets me revise lectures whenever i want, and is much cheaper and more comprehensive than the coaching classes available where i stay.

a lot! the exercise system was pretty useful. the flagging option was great!

my math score improved 5 points over my first practice exam. my verbal performance was strong before magoosh, but even so i doubt that i would have earned a perfect score with no practice. the question style and distribution of the magoosh practice tests were nearly identical to the actual exam. i thought that i was only going to use the math practice questions but ended up doing both quantitative and verbal practice, and watching videos in both sections and analytical writing as well. i thought i was too smart to get much out of the lessons, but was pleasantly surprised to discover that they're mainly designed for students like me who're looking to turn their good score into a great one.

i mostly focused on the math practice problems and watched the videos explaining how to solve them. the full practice tests were also useful- one of the essays i ended up writing had been one of the ones i had gotten from magoosh. the flash card apps were also helpful for remembering formulas. i also liked that magoosh tracked my progress with estimated scores for math and verbal.

magoosh helped me understand the structure of test and make sure there was no surprises on test day.i grew familiar with test pattern and structure during the one month prep time .the responses i received to the doubt emails never. ceased to amaze me as they were so prompt .

i mostly used the practice problems to study. took a practice test once about three days before the actual test. watched lesson videos to brush up on certain topics i was fuzzy on.

magoosh was a great help throughout. apart from the excellent videos and practice questions, magoosh boasts of a really helpful gre blog. the blog helped me clear most of my doubts, whether related to gre prep or the test day experience, for that matter. also, magoosh is different from its competitors in terms of the personalized experience it affords. i would like to thank the magoosh team for putting in such a wonderful effort. :)

the vocabulary flashcards were extremely helpful as they got me started early in the preparation process and they were very reflective of the words on the actual test. the lessons offered valuable strategies and analyses of the question types. the practice tests helped me identify my weak points and get used to the pace of the real test. overall magoosh was the biggest help in my prep process!

i like all of your videos! they are brief and efficient! they helped me not only improve my gre score but also strengthen my reading ability, cause active reading is an important skill in lots of reading materials!

magoosh's practice questions are so helpful to me! i love the verbal lessons too! english is my second language so i am not very confident with it sometimes. but magoosh has so many great features to boost my confidence and mentally prepared me well for the gre.

magoosh helped me improved and review my math skills greatly and prepped me for the style of problems i saw on test day. i would absolutely recommend this to everyone. the explanation videos are better than any book i could possibly ever study.

math was pretty easy already, but magoosh showed me how to tackle all the english questions. it showed me how to answer them, and the ample variety in the practice questions really proved beneficial in the long run
