you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

the video lessons were very helpful, i like having things explained to me step by step. this is also why the explanations for each question were helpful, i was able to learn exactly where i went wrong and not make the same mistakes again.

you guys are awesome. you provide quality content that is easily accessible and at a reasonable price. magoosh has a ton of practice questions which help a lot. the lessons are quick and focus on the specifics. although i did not check out or compare the competition, i truly believe that my choice was correct.

it helped me learn the various tricks the test makers are trying to pull and time-saving shortcuts to solve math questions. i particularly appreciated how the math lessons helped me think outside the box and approach questions from different angles. i also really liked the magoosh vocab app; i used the app to study vocab while i was commuting to work each day. thank you always for responding to my questions by email promptly! and thank you for providing an affordable online study program!!

i was unsure about how to start preparing for gre, i had no clue where to begin or how to continue when it came to reviewing the topics that were required to study for the test. before joining magoosh i knew that lacking a structured approach would be a real problem for me, thankfully magoosh gave me the structure that i had required. the video lectures they had provided were absolutely amazing, the questions they had given were of similar type to the ones that came on the final test. they were prompt in offering help when i was stumped by a particular topic and their small video explanations about the problems that you were solving in practice session or in the practice test were perhaps the greatest help to me. i would definitely recommend magoosh to people who are unsure about how to approach their preparation for gre as it helped me tremendously.

it has been 20 years since i studied last. magoosh provided the material and the coaching. i now appreciate that the test has a methodology that can be trained for. without that coaching, available in the videos, i would not have done as well. inclusion of videos addressing the essays was valuable.

magoosh provided me with an innovative teaching methodology that i've never quite come across before. by constantly giving me feedback on my verbal and quantitative scores, i was able to work on my weaknesses and get a good overall score. i wasn't even familiar with the gre format before i came across magoosh and getting a 323 on my first attempt was largely due to magoosh.
