you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

lots of great practice questions, with ways to target my studying; awesome explanations of key gre math and verbal concepts, with wonderful tips & tricks to learn how to take the test effectively.

1. the overall "a little bit harder than the exam" difficulty is pretty nice. it helps a lot with the mindset and also getting used to the stress and despair during real gre.
2. the amount and quality of questions. it is just amazing. probably the best out there.
3. explanations. i don't watch each explanation, but when i do i found it extremely helpful.
4. the overall ui and interaction. very nice work!
5. and i didn't know you guys are in berkeley!!! and literally two blocks away from my apartment when i was taking undergrad there!!! go bears!!!

on memorizing vocabularies, magoosh gave me great advice and the flash cards app is great.

it organized my approach, from techniques to answer verbal questions to tactics on test-taking.

i especially liked the custom practice which allowed me to get more comfortable with the timing of each section. i also think having the quizzes at the end of each section of lessons is very helpful.

the repository of questions was big and varied enough. magoosh gre flashcards was my one and only resource for vocabulary. the videos cover every topic and question type that can appear in the gre

verbal practice!

magoosh was very useful for achieving a improved verbal score. although, i could not improve on my quant score, it was nonetheless helpful for achieving my current quant score.

magoosh helped me learn each possible type of question thoroughly. i was also able to compare my preparation for gre with peers

i liked the study schedules. they laid out how much i needed to do each day, which was very helpful. i found the math videos the most helpful, since i was originally quite strong in the verbal section. even though i remembered one way of completing a math question from high school, mike would often show a quicker way that was more useful for the gre, since the gre really just tests how good you are at completing the gre. every question had a video explanation, and if that didn't clear up your concerns, staff from magoosh would answer your question within about 24 hours.

magoosh, for me, has a fantastic set of questions and the best video lessons, which are lucid, and the techniques taught really make a difference in the exam. i really loved the way chris presented the methods in his videos. also, the ui in the apps and portal and the blogs they run are fabulous and immensely helpful.

it helped me to increase my speed in the verbal section.

vocabulary app is very helpful for my prepareation because i used it during my commute everyday. the lesson videos on verbal helped me so much on the logic behind the test.

the difficulty of real gre test is utterly the same with magoosh which helped me fit into the test smoothly.

diagnostics were pretty spot on. found study guide really helpful to pace myself. great response time on questions. got a complementary tutor or session which was really good - would have used it more if i could have afforded it. great product for the price. highly recommend.

a friend recommended magoosh to me just i was beginning to prepare for the gre, and i found it to be an amazing tool. i followed the 90 day study plan to make sure i was hitting milestones regularly, while also spending more time on areas i needed to focus on. the flashcards and videos for the verbal section was particularly helpful in developing vocabulary and understanding how to tackle the different questions.

magoosh provided a ton of great information about both the materials i should use to study and the ways i should use those materials. this service helped steer me in the right direction with third-party materials (manhattan 5lb book, official ets books), but also provided a wealth of problems with very clear explanations. furthermore, the 90 day study plan was a tremendous help in providing a road map for preparation. without magoosh, i would've had a much less clear study plan; with this service, i spent less time thinking about what to buy and how to study, and spent more time actually studying.

do a million dollars problems to practice, and videos expanding what i did wrong.

magoosh was a great resource, in terms of both material and strategy. i knew exactly what i was walking into and was very glad that i spent the time and money on magoosh.

at first, i signed up for a free trial of magoosh and decided to try to study on my own. i originally thought magoosh would not be helpful for getting a very high score. my practice tests before magoosh were in the low 320s. i felt like i wasn't making any progress and decided to give magoosh another try. choosing magoosh was a great decision. magoosh helped me solve questions faster and more accurately. the video explanations were really helpful. the video lessons were in-depth and covered a lot of concepts. the average pace feature helped me compare my speed to other students. the practice tests were far more accurate than other third party practice tests. my score was in my predicted range and i liked being able to track my progress. the study plans helped me create a practice schedule. the facebook group helped me get advice on supplemental material and practice tests. i also used the quant tutoring package and which helped me learned advanced strategies. magoosh helped me go from a good score to an amazing score. overall magoosh helped me work smarter instead of harder.

i used to really struggle with reading comprehension questions in the beginning. the magoosh rc videos were extremely helpful as they logically broke down questions and made it easier for me to pick the right answers.

magoosh helped alleviate my stress and gave me the resources needed to practice sufficiently before the exam.
