you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

the verbal part is really good. overall, the email assistance is very prompt and detailed. they helped me maintain my energy levels during the preparation.

i know my score doesn't meet your eligibility criteria, but still i would like to have a magoosh shirt!! :)

magoosh was the very first place i started with gre studying and it was the perfect place to do so. the lesson videos made the material really approachable and broke everything down into sections that made sense. after going through all the videos and section quizzes i used the custom practice option to practice everything over and over again. being able to specify exactly what i wanted to practice was key. especially being able to filter by questions i got wrong in the past, not many offerings allow you to do that. the score estimate was also very useful. its shifting estimate continued to be accurate throughout my practice tests, and all the way through to my actual gre result.

magoosh's videos and practice questions greatly helped me remember math that i hadn't taken for over 10 years. also, knowing the range of scores i was expected to receive allayed a lot of my test anxiety.

helped me work on my quantitative logic so i wasn't just memorizing a set of approaches

provided the whole range of potential question types. easily organised difficulty levels and type of questions for quick reviews. to-the-point videos that illustrate the quickest and simplest way to approach any question.

it was very helpful in providing a ton of practice questions that were very similar to the actual exam questions. the videos, especially for the math section, were great for brushing up on topics i hadn't seen in over ten years. it was also helpful for providing a brief overview of how to approach the writing/analytical section. i ended up getting a 6 on that section so very happy with my overall performance thanks to magoosh.

i used magoosh the first time i took the gre as well. this time, i spent more time going over the problems i got wrong. i wish there were more math questions to practice as i think the only thing that kept me from getting a perfect score was my speed.

very well prepared short refresher lessons on maths along with valuable, gre oriented tips on pitfalls etc on the concepts side of it. the well tuned question bank and tests were indispensable for practice. the prompt response / clarifications on any queries and concerns was also very encouraging.

the math review was great.

the videos refreshed my memory on a lot of math concepts i had totally forgotten. the practice tests also really helped me build up confidence and stamina. the magoosh problems actually seemed harder than the real gre problems, which made the real thing seem easier.

i utilized every single magoosh lesson. i did four practice tests and tons of the questions. i liked the explanation videos and breakdown of type and difficulty of questions. i improved so much with just a month's prep. i was dejected and on verge of postponing applications after my first test score. magoosh is the perfect example of how to prove anyone wrong when they say you can only improve your score more than 2-3 points per section especially with just a month's prep. magoosh gave me pinpointed instruction and explanation, but more so its guidance gave me confidence.

1) the practice questions are amazing, really very close to the real test---actually harder, but it puts pressure on me and pushes me forward.
2) i like the website's format and overall look, information are concise and easy to find. the dashboard was very helpful, showing how well you do (accuracy, speed, average speed etc)
3) can always ask for help via email, everyone is nice and very patient, they would explain in different ways until you understand the whole question. the explanation online also includes idioms, hidden meanings of words, etc--which is really helpful for non-native speakers.
4) the blog was nice and helped me know the test better before actually taking it. there are also evaluations on other test materials. and after the test you can find out about what is a "good score" on some posts.
5) i also used the apps: vocabulary builder and vocabulary flashcards. i would strongly recommend them.

1. comprehensive math review, especially the relevant tricks for a variety of quant sections.
2. explanation videos after every practice question
3. stress on understanding the underlying logic behind quant ideas (i.e. why area of an equilateral triangle is sqrt(3)/4.

magoosh helped a lot with my verbal score. videos served as good refreshers for math. unfortunately i did not do enough practice and ended up too slow having to blind guess on at least 2 questions on each section (math and verbal)

magoosh instills the confidence to tackle the exam with the sheer number of questions you provide. all the questions are quite comparable to the real gre. apart from that, custom practice tests are amazing.

magoosh was invaluable to me for my gre prep. i had one month before my gre and i used magoosh along with your one month study plan. the lessons were concise yet comprehensive and the practice questions were exactly similar to the gre. it is awesome how each practice question has a detailed video solution. the ability to review incorrect questions, take notes, flag for review is simply brilliant. all in all, a fantastic experience using magoosh.

the math questions and videos were extremely helpful and accurately reflect the types of questions and difficulty level of the actual gre questions. it taught me how to look at certain questions that previously i would have thought impossible to do, and made them simple and easy to answer. the vocabulary flash cards were immensely helpful.
