i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh was a great resource for practice questions, lesson videos, and question explanation. for any trouble area i needed to work on, i knew there would be plenty of magoosh materials i could use to improve. i also appreciated the magoosh study plans. i used the 2-3 month plan as a guide for my studying, and it helped me stay on track throughout the course of my preparation.

gave me a sense of the score level i was at. also, the lessons were extremely helpful!

the math lessons and practice problems were amazing. the lessons do an excellent job of anticipating points of confusion and spell out very clearly how to approach and handle the math problems.

practice simulation quite close to the exam. best summary of the gre content i could find. harder than gre so i did better day of. time management. lots of helpful blog posts to really tie it all together.

magoosh really helped me get reacquainted with math that i haven't used for 15 years and be calm and confident when i took the test, since it's already taken several full length practice tests.

math review was great. quantity of practice problems enormously helpful; verbal practice questions were really, really similar to gre itself

math - tips, tactics, etc

magoosh helped me a lot through practice, although i didn't practice a lot of quant, after having completed the verbal practice i was sure that my score would be more than 325. the questions in the practice are of very good standard and helped me feel confident on the day of exam.

the videos for the verbal section were informative in providing strategies to answer questions (e.g., thinking of an answer/solution yourself prior to actually looking at answer choices)

the math review was useful in providing succinct and insightful instructions in all relevant topics of the gre quant section. in addition, the practice questions provided were also very useful in applying the topics learned and the associated solutions were clear.

i self-studied for gre, and i use magoosh to inhance my verbal. it provides plenty of high quality verbal questions, as long as elucidated answers. the best part for me is that magoosh teachers answered my questions quickly and thoroughly. this kind of service could not be replaced by merely buying a gre book.

help me understood the tricks behind the math questions. i'm a mechanical engineering major but watching the math lessons helped me with important geometry and probability/counting tricks which i don't use in my day to day math. the vocabulary flash cards made it really easy to study on the go.

the vocabulary flashcards and awa lessons provided exactly what i needed to improve in those categories. timed practice questions and a full practice test were extremely helpful for improving my time management per question.

vids, practice questions, and study plans were all great.

math videos were really helpful review.

i really needed magoosh for the math, and it helped me so much. i watched all the math lesson videos, did hours and hours of practice questions, and took 4 full practice tests before the gre. i also used the flashcard apps (for both math and verbal). i felt as prepared as i could be going into the test center, and although i feel i could have scored a couple points better on the math if i hadn't been sick the whole week prior to the test (i got a 161 and 162 on the math in the two practice tests leading up to the real test), i still have a lot of gratitude for magoosh.

the math lessons and flash cards are incredibly helpful, so are the vocab cards!
