you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

i used magoosh mainly for the verbal section and it helped a lot. 10 scores, i couldn't believe it first. the actual test was easier for me compared the magoosh practice tests. i strongly recommend magoosh if you have time and are determined to improve your score.

i used other sources to improve my vocabulary. my whole time of intensive study was less than two months.

magoosh presents a variety of questions that helped me in covering all the topics. quant difficulty level is at par with the actual gre. verbal is at slightly difficult level than the actual gre. i loved the magoosh vocabulary app. it has the most appropriate vocabulary words required for gre. i started with 310 on magoosh mock tests and scored 325 on actual gre.

the math lesson videos were extremely useful. i also liked the large number of practice questions and the extensive options for customizing practice quizes

improved my math score, which is all i really needed.

magoosh helped me immensely with improving my score in the quantitative section,the prime reason i felt i needed to join magoosh,and my verbal score improved as well. the practise tests were a perfect alternative for the real test, and worked as tremendous confidence boosters as well.

it prepared me and made me solve questions that i thought were much harder than those found on the actual gre.

the tutorial videos were really great

the first time i took the gre, i didn't watch the magoosh quant videos and struggled on some of the harder questions because i didn't understand the concepts at a "deeper level" (as mike would say!). consequently, i got a 164 which is not good enough for a top-notch econ grad program.

this time though, i made sure to watch every single video and clear up my concepts first before tackling the questions. i also used the advanced 90-day study plan and attacked all the manhattan 5 lb and gmat quant problems which i didn't do the last time around. the results are pretty clear in my perfect quant score. :)

it helped me structure my studying in a flexible, affordable way. i learned many useful test-taking strategies and enjoyed the platform that magoosh provided me both online and on the mobile app.

such good math prep!

i used magoosh to study math. it was incredibly helpful and i managed to score +5 points in the section. i wish i had had enough time to improve my verbal skills too, since the results are so amazing. thank you!

magoosh helped me a lot learning mental math and techniques to finish the quantitative section quickly and accurately. i also learned techniques to effectively solve the verbal reasoning questions.

i think magoosh helped me incredibly. the magoosh questions were surprisingly a lot more difficult that the ones in the actual exam. i think this is an effective way of preparation.

the lesson tutorial videos were really helpful. it was also great to have access to all of the question types and to have the ability to customize quiz sessions to focus on specific areas.

magoosh helped me to feel more comfortable during the test day, and to shore up the overall gaps that i had in my knowledge. if i had more time to study, i would have probably done even better.

magoosh was great. the only reason i missed a perfect score in math was because i succumbed to pressure and was not confident but i think i knew almost everything. magoosh vocab flashcards were awesome. however, i didnt revise the words too well and couldn't manage time.

the math videos were super helpful. the verbal videos were really good at helping me understand the peculiarities of the exam - you have to put a special "gre" hat on to understand how to tackle inference questions, etc, and magoosh really helped me figure that out.

magoosh provided structure to my studying by allowing me to keep track of what i had studied. the magoosh practice questions were great, particularly the quantitative ones. i found some of them to be more difficult than the actual gre, which likely helped.
