i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

i went to grad school long ago, but i've been out of school for 7 years. i wanted to go back but badly needed to brush up on math. i spent 1 month doing magoosh most days, and got 161, which i consider a very good score for having been out of school for so long.

i got 170 on the verbal without any real studying, but i've always been a language nerd.

vocab, good tips for essays, practice questions

video lessons were great. practice test was very realistic.

all of the lesson videos helped to refresh old topics in math and the practice questions were amazing. the fact that every question has an explanation is more helpful than i had imagined.

having video explanations helps a lot. for my first test, i only studied out of a book, and i found the answers a bit too technical and dry. i haven't actually emailed anyone at magoosh for help, but i like knowing the option exists.

i am a unique case. as a military physician assistant i never required a gre for any of the programs or universities i attended. two bachelors, a masters, and about 18 years since my last didactic math course, i had to take a gre. i am applying for a surgical pa dsc program which required i complete the gre by 16 jan 2018. this may not seem unorthodox (outside of the requirement of the gre after already completing graduate level work) however, i was notified of the requirement 28 dec 2017. with a little over two weeks to study and my day job seeing patients, i knew that scoring high enough to get accepted was going to be difficult. enter your program. i took an initial practice test after a few days of study which estimated a quant/verbal score of 150/151 respectively. not ideal in my mind so i continued to watch the video lectures, took practice tests, and on 16 jan took the test. seeing my scores on the screen of 159/161 was incredible, some how i scored a 320+ after studying for only 18 days. without this program i wouldn't have come close to the score i received and i know that this program is a major reason why i will progress in my career. i cannot thank the staff who assembled this program enough, and will recommend any and all of your test prep programs to my peers, friends, or anyone else who will listen.

good math teaching videos, harder than usual math examples

the quant questions are great for practice. and the explanations are very lucid. didn't have to practice much verbal because it was already a strong area of mine. keep up the good work!

brilliant structure of the math lessons. seriously - i loved how each of the questions had an in depth explanation.

the 1000 words vocabulary list was very useful. the verbal practice questions were particular useful. i feel they were harder than the real exam questions, and it is a good thing.

magoosh, i am super thankful!!!
english is not my first language and i scored 162v, 162q and 4 aw.
when i registered for the gre and took the first ets powerprep free test i got 149v and 155q, so i think i truly improved, especially in the verbal section.
i watched all of the lessons, so i felt like i knew chris and mike by the time it was over. both are awesome instructors! besides, the staff from magoosh always helped me when i had a question. it generally took no more than a couple of days for them to reply any of my doubts.
i like numbers, but the thing with the gre quant section is that you need to figure out the fastest solution in 1-2 minutes... so, getting all those tips from mike to develop a "number sense" was incredibly helpful! besides, there are many exercises in magoosh and each of them has an explanation with the fastest solution, so its great! i regret a little not having taken enough advantage of that.
in terms of the verbal section, well, chris is just amazing! since i learned english as a second language and i am pretty bad for learning new and complex vocabulary, i didn't have high expectations, especially after that 149 i got in powerprep. however, chris gives such amazing strategies that i didn't even realize that i was actually improving. i didn't study much vocabulary apart from the new words i was learning from the videos and exercises... studying vocabulary is, of course, very important, but chris also teaches some pretty awesome strategies to try to get to the correct answers even if you don't know the meaning of every single word in the question or the alternatives. he helps you not to freak out over that!
so, i just want to truly thank all of the magoosh staff... and chris and mike don't even know who i am, but i love them!!!

magoosh's practice questions, especially the verbal reasoning ones, were really good as they very accurately simulated the type of questions which are found on the actual gre exam.
moreover, magoosh very generously extended my premium subscription by 2 months for free when i requested them to. magoosh is clearly the best gre test prep available in the market and is also the most reasonably priced.

it helped me focus to get the score that i wanted and provided plenty of resources

i like the questions you have which are a lot more difficult than the actual exam. makes me feel good when taking the exam.

the most helpful were the practice questions, which were very similar to the actual test. the quantitative videos were helpful in getting me used to number sense and mental math, and the verbal videos were helpful in giving me tips in how to approach questions such that i wouldn't be trapped by tempting answers.

magooshs easy-to-access and easy-to-customize practice problems were extremely helpful. the videos were well-organized and and nicely broken up so that if i just wanted to some background information on a specific topic, i didnt have to look too hard.

magoosh practise questions proved to be an excellent help for my prep. aside from the quality of the material, the responsiveness and the assistance provided by magoosh was impressive. the quant material is the best there is out there.

magoosh provided a treasure trove of practice. i drilled myself on "very hard" problems every day, focusing specifically on my weak points, and i memorized all of the vocab.

the large reservoir of challenging and adaptable practice questions, video lessons and practice tests were invaluable to my gre readiness. i noticed some other test prep companies provided practice questions which were too easy, so they were not bracing enough for level of difficulty on the actual test. magoosh provided appropriately challenging problems, coupled with individual walk-through videos for each one. this was extremely helpful. i am on a tight budget, so i was worried about getting high-quality preparation materials for the gre. magoosh provided me with just that, at an affordable price. i also enjoyed the vocabulary and speed-math practice app. thank you!
