you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

magoosh questions are extremely similar to the questions on the actual gre. i didn’t see any questions on the gre that magoosh hadn’t prepared me for.

combo of video and written explanation of videos was really conducive to learning.

it gave me exposure to a lot of different problems and problem solving techniques that i would not have considered before.

really saw a huge improvement with my math abilities from the time i started studying to when i took the test.

study guides helped give prep structure, videos helped me learn the mind of the test

gave me tons of problems to do (primarily the verbal section though, i was very confident for quant going in) and lots of videos on how to solve verbal questions/write the essay components. and flashcards. it was awesome to have them in a mobile app so i always had them with me.

refresher on things i haven’t seen since high school

the whole set-up of magoosh is great. having quizzes after each section helped gauge how i was progressing and having full practice tests was helpful to train for the length of the test.

it was a perfect one stop shop for everything i needed for the gre. i felt extremely prepared during the exam and my jaw actually dropped when i saw my scores.

it helped me master several methods for approaching specific problems that i wouldn’t have know how to deal with before.

the lessons and questions (especially the video explanations) were incredibly helpful. the questions seemed similar on test day so i had no suprises.

great practice problems

magoosh was fantastic and the main study resource i used. the instructional math videos were so helpful and your customer service was superb.

tons of practice question covering potential topics and a hefty vocabulary list

the one month study plan helped me to maximize my studying in the minimal time that i had. it felt like i had endless problems to work through, so i always ended up doing more practice than the suggested amount.

i found plenty of new questions for practice in the last few weeks. coupled with timed practice exams, it helped my prepare for the actual day. the video explanations for the questions were extremely helpful.

magoosh gave me a structured way to study in video format, which is a lot easier to digest than books, and i started using the magoosh gre vocab app daily months before the exam. magoosh gave me everything i needed to know for the exam i.e. types of questions and strategies.

magoosh helped me to know what to expect on the exam (this was my first time taking it) and gave me plenty of practice so i went in prepared. i also learned some of the trap answers to avoid on verbal, and strategies for solving math questions more quickly. thank you, magoosh!
