you, our next thriving student?

i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

the questions were the most similar to the exam that i saw (in difficulty) and i loved the app and explainations on the questions! great value :-)

the biggest advantage of magoosh was the computer aspect. it sounds silly, but taking a test in a computer feels different than a paper test, and preparing with magooshs software helped in that regard.

the videos for verbal section are pretty helpful. i like the math practice problems which are adequately challenging and similar to actual gre problems.

it provided a plethora of great practice questions that inculcated in me the skills i needed for each section. it helped me feel very prepared on test day.

i only studied by using magoosh

magistrate helped me stay organized by providing a study schedule that i could easily add to my google calendar. the videos and custom practice tests were also very helpful, and much more engaging than a physical test practice book.

magoosh’s problems are very similar in style compared to actual gre problems. i like how it is possible to customize practice which helps target my own weakness.

made me feel more confident to put my best foot forward in both sections within one single sitting of the test.

magoosh provided a centralized method of reviewing different topics prior that were a great way of remembering topics i had not covered in years. it also provided a wide array of flashcards to augment my vocabulary capacity as well as a plethora of practice problems to apply my knowledge.

it had been around 7 years since i last worried about a standardized test, and i had forgotten all about the tricks for quickly cranking through the math questions; magoosh refreshed my skills and added a whole lot on top. in addition, having the ability to watch videos for every question was amazing for anytime i got something wrong, but also for helping me find faster methods when i got stuff right.

practice tests were very similar to the actual test and helped me understand the things i needed to improve upon. the video lessons were great too!

flash cards are really useful for vocabulary. customized practice is a great feature.
