i purchased a couple manhattan prep books, ets's official guide, different phone apps, etc. yet i ended up using magoosh's online application almost exclusively. i work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. i was exhausted most nights after work before i even sat down to study... without the structure that magoosh provides i would not have been able to be nearly as effective. i did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. i scored a 331; what else can i say? magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. it has everything you need, trust me.

magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. i followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. while i couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), i still believe magoosh helped me a lot. i learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, i always had a plan to follow so i couldn't second-guess myself.

everything was helpful! the features i used included the videos and the practice questions and the practice tests.

magoosh really worked for me. the topics are broken down into digestible segments, the approach to tackle different problem types really works and the course is very comprehensive. it covers a detailed explanation on possibly every question types i saw on the test. my major improvement turned out to be in the verbal section- i am surprised at the results. it's not just because of a better vocabulary but also because of structure magoosh provided in tackling different types of verbal questions- especially sentence equivalence and reading comprehension.
the videos are simply fantastic- both maths and verbal. the only reason i probably got 325 instead of a higher score was that i failed at sleep management the night before the test- to put it lightly, months of preparation comes to a naught if simple things are not followed. lesson learned!

i loved the math practice problems and video solutions. also the mental math emphasis was extremely helpful for saving time.

i am a math major and i was trying to score above 165 on the quant section but i kept messing up. i did magoosh for a week and scored 167. the practice questions were very good practice.

the magoosh videos were very helpful and had the appropriate depth. the practice questions were comparable to that seen on the actual gre.

the video lessons are extremely helpful. i went through almost all the math videos before the exam and did about half if the practice questions. the video explanations for each question not only help provide an explanation but also help find an alternate, faster way to solve the problem.

lots of practice problems to get familiar with how questions are worded. explanation videos for each problem were fantastic!

i mainly focused on improving my quant score. the videos and practice problems helped me immensely. i improved my quant score by 5 points.

the magoosh math tutorials were awesome. i've been working full-time for a few years, so i had forgotten a lot of the basics that were necessary for the quant section of the gre. the tutorials explained everything really clearly, and i also found mike's tips really handy.

the large pool of practice maths questions were another useful feature of magoosh. i liked that i could tailor my practice to specific question difficulties. that meant that gre study could be as intense or relaxing as i liked.

i was better prepared to understand the format, timing, and content. i was able to take a pre-test and see how i could expect to do, which allayed my fears.

magoosh helped me so much on my time management! before taking magoosh, i rarely had enough time to finish each question on the test day and always had to scramble through the questions at the end of each section. magoosh’s comprehensive 90-day study plan for advanced students made me go through tons of practice problems and helped me become familiar with the question types. i learned to strategically skip harder problems and solve easy problems first, which helped with my confidence on the test day and gave me time to complete and review questions for each section. as a result, my verbal score improved by 6 points and my math score improved by 4 points with 8 weeks of studying.

magoosh’s verbal video lessons also helped build my confidence on tackling the long-passage problems and vocabulary questions by showing me the logic behind solving each type of problems. i am not a native english speaker so the verbal sections always stress me out. going through magoosh’s video lessons made me realize that the gre question writers are out to trick all test takers by making the questions excessively boring, long-winded, and hard to comprehend, even for the native speakers. i learned that by understanding the logic behind each question and practicing tons, anyone can dramatically improve their verbal scores.
