(well, maybe if you threw a brand new puppy in there too &#8212; there\u2019s always room for more stoke.) but nevertheless, we\u2019ve got a new app called the gre vocabulary builder app and we can\u2019t wait for you to try it!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gre.www.catharsisit.com\/builder\/vocabulary\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1889\" src=\"\/\/www.catharsisit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/gre-builder-app1.png\" alt=\"gre builder app\" width=\"188\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>in the meantime, here\u2019s some exclusive insider info about what went on behind the scenes while building it.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>it all began with some student feedback we got on our <a href=\"\/\/www.catharsisit.com\/gre\/2017\/gre-vocabulary-flashcards\/\">free gre flashcard app<\/a>. students were flipping the flashcards all over the world and the 5-star app store ratings were pouring in, but &#8212; no, you know what? i think i can better explain it in poem form. here goes:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>there once was a company<\/p>\n<p>called magoosh.<\/p>\n<p>they released a new app,<\/p>\n<p>and boy, was it smooth.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>the students flipped cards<\/p>\n<p>all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>in busses, in airplanes,<\/p>\n<p>rejoices were hurled!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cwe love learning vocab!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>the students declared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cthe gre is ours!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>with confidence and flair.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>but something was missing,<\/p>\n<p>the magoosh staff they said.<\/p>\n<p>the app needed something,<\/p>\n<p>they scratched at their heads.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>they brainstormed and brainstormed,<\/p>\n<p>to no avail.<\/p>\n<p>what was the answer?<\/p>\n<p>how could they tell?!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>they turned to their friends:<\/p>\n<p>loyal students at hand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201chelp us create<\/p>\n<p>the greatest app in the land!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cquizzes!\u201d they said,<\/p>\n<p>without hesitation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201can app to quiz our knowledge<\/p>\n<p>of this vocab education!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>magoosh toiled and troubled<\/p>\n<p>long nights in the office.<\/p>\n<p>but eventually they nailed it &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>an app almost flawless!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>so there on that day<\/p>\n<p>the builder app was born,<\/p>\n<p>to please all the students<\/p>\n<p>and make test prep less forlorn.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>and that\u2019s how the gre vocab builder app came to be! but that\u2019s not the only app we built using student feedback. you can read all about our production process <a href=\"\/\/www.catharsisit.com\/blog\/product-development-ideation-to-creation\/\">here<\/a> to see how students impact our everyday work!<\/p>\n<p>and if you\u2019d like a less poetic explanation of the new app, check out our gre blog here: <a href=\"\/\/www.catharsisit.com\/gre\/2014\/vocabulary-builder\/\">here<\/a> and tell your friends! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>find out how the new magoosh student app uses student feedback for an optimal experience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":78,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[27,28,29,30,13,22],"ppma_author":[495],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- this site is optimized with the yoast seo premium plugin v21.7 (yoast seo v21.7) -
