either/or

the pairing either/or is used to group two people or objects in a positive statement. if you use “either”, you must use “or” when using either/or, it is also important to remember that the verb agrees with the noun that is closest to it.

examples: either my sister or my brother is going to win the race. either the goaltenders or the team captain is going to make the final call on the game strategy.
